We love PHAH! Dr. Klimovitz & Dr. Baer are wonderful! I don't feel like like I'm just taking my dog to the vet when I go there, they truly love the animals too. The entire staff are all incredibly friendly. Dr. Klimovitz will also email with you to answer any questions, which helps cut down on potentially unnecessary visits. They also just recently started using an app where you have access to all the notes, blood work results, x rays, etc from all your visits.

They gave me a discount. I'm not sure how thorough they looked at my cat. They didn't diagnose what she had. She's spotting. I probably would take her to another vet. It was a fair price. They did take me in. I would not use them again because of the distance.

This was our first time at Perry Hall Animal Hospital, and they were very apologetic when we had to wait a bit (there was a scheduling mixup on their part). The wait was no problem at all, and the care for the cat was wonderful and thorough. Everyone was incredibly friendly and professional, and they even gave us a discount for the inconvenience. We'll definitely be back!

We adopted a young dog about two years ago and she always had a sensitive stomach, which our vet, recommended by a friend, dismissed. Then this summer she developed chronic diarrhea for over two weeks. The vet did a fecal swab, found nothing and diagnosed it as stress. He gave us an RX for Flagyl, which helped for a few days, but about a week after she finished the course my husband came home to find she'd had both vomiting and diarrhea while we were at work. Called the vet, who could not fit us in and told us to call again if she didn't improve in a few days. We decided we'd had enough of this vet. Called Perry Hall Animal Hospital and they definitely thought she should be seen. Dr. Ashleigh Baer had x-rays done, which confirmed stomach upset and inflammation. She explained that a fecal swab done in house would not be sufficient to rule out a parasite (which is what I suspected all along!) They sent a larger sample to a lab and it came back positive for giardia. She prescribed an antibiotic and a deworming powder, both for five days. The first night she threw up about an hour after she received the two meds, so I called the next morning and Dr. Baer advised us to give her just the deworming powder for the remaining four days, then the antibiotic for the remaining four days. She said the office would call the next day to see how she was doing, and they did! After the treatment was over they ran another fecal and found a different parasite, and she just finished the treatment for that last night, so we won't know for another week or two if we've finally knocked everything out, but I'm hopeful. I recalled that the vet for our previous dog, since retired, ran a full fecal every year. The vet we were using these past two years never did that, so our dog could have had these parasites since we brought her home. At any rate, the staff at Perry Hall Animal Hospital are professional, caring and available. They are advocates for pet health insurance, and whereas our last vet seemed annoyed by having to sign paperwork for me, once the staff here found out we had insurance they submitted a claim for us online without prompting. Hospital has modern technology - Dr. Baer showed me our dog's x-rays in the exam room on a tablet - and is just all around a great practice.

Dr. Klirovites rapport with Max was wonderful - she treated him as if he was her own. Her communication of the bad news was compassionate and thorough. She spent a lot of time with us.

The tech was great! Our dog Yoshi was uncomfortable, as usual, to be there, but the tech came out and sat with him for a few minutes before taking him back. They were very fast and efficient. Sarah at the front desk was busy but also efficient. Perry Hall Animal Hospital also always has the medication we need in stock, whether we need Frontline Plus, Heartgard, or a prescription.

My dog and I were greeted as soon as we went in the door. The techs came out and spoke to my dog and pet her and my dog loved the attention. My dog was weighed and taken care of very quickly.
When there to see the vet, the doctor actually gets on the floor and plays with my dog while examining her  and my dog becomes very relaxed.
My dog actually runs TO the door of this hospital!

We've been going to PHAH now for 7 years with 2 pets - an 11 yr old cat and an almost 1 year old dog. In both our annual check ups and emergency situations, the doctors and staff are knowledgable, thorough, and caring. On several occasions, the doctors have called to talk through care options and concerns after business hours. It's clear their number one concern is the animal's health and you always feel you're their only patient. I will add - they are not the cheapest vets in town by a long shot - but when you're considering the health and well being of a furry family member - I would rather go with ability over cost. I wish they offered day and overnight boarding. Our last visit was $500 for treatment of accidental poisoning / drug overdose for our curious puppy. $500 visits are NOT normal!! :)

I called the office and let them know that my male cat could not urinate.  I didn't realize that this was a life threatening condition. The staff said that they were booked that day and couldn't see me.  I called a friend that works with a speciaist and told me that for male cats not urinating is a life threatneing condition.  I called back and they had me see the intern of the office not the Dr. who I had given my business to for quite a while.  She was a student doing an internship at the office. To make a long story short, they dianosed my cat incorrectly and it cost me a lot of money.  I went on Angie's list and saw Cat Sense Feline Hospital that was fabulous!  I would never go back there due to the Incompetent staff who could have allowed my precious cat to pass and the doctor who was insensetive to not see the seriousness of the situation.  Then misdiagnois his condition. I spent so much money and my cat could have died which was the worst of the whole situation! She then sent me to Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine that I spent an additional $1555.00!!
Response from Perry Hall Animal Hospital
"This is the first time we have heard of any disappointment you had with our hospital, if it was even our hospital you were referring to? We have never had an intern working for us. We have 3 veterinarians on staff, who are all experienced and registered with the state. All of our staff understands that a cat who is having problems urinating is an emergency that must be seen that day. I see from your records, we saw your cat last year for an initial complaint of constipation. After an exam and diagnostics including x-ray and ultrasound on the day of the visit, we provided follow up care and diagnostics at a reduced cost or no-cost, even performing an ultrasound of the heart at no charge, due to potential heart disease. We did not hear anything again from you after this until 3 months later when you brought your pet in for sneezing and diarrhea. We received a request for records 10 months after the incident you are describing. Given all of this information we are very confused about your review and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further about this to find out if there was something more we could have done for you and your pet."

When I moved to the Perry Hall/Nottingham area, I did my research prior to getting my dog.
I am beyond happy that I started going to the Perry Hall Animal Hospital!
The staff is kind and doctors incredibly gentle. My dog actually likes going to the vet!
Since the office is right around the corner from my house, Tank actually has to "stop by" when we pass.
When I call with a question or concern, a vet or vet tech will call be back right away. I never hesitate to call since I know my questions are never considered "silly" and that makes me feel confident that they are 100% there for me and my "furry son".
We had 2 incidents where Tank needed a vet immediately; Dr. K and team squeezed us into their schedule and made me feel at ease.
I would highly recommend this office to anyone!

AFTER MY CAT WAS SEEN AT THE PET ER, SHE WAS TRANSFERRED HERE. THE STAFF WAS GREAT WITH ME AND WITH HER. SHE STAYED FOR TWO DAYS WHERE THEY TRIED TO GET HER TO WALK AND MONITORED HER BLADDER AND BOWEL USAGE. THE VETS SUGGESTED CONTINUED CARE AND TREATMENT AT HOME. CAT HAS NOW REGAINED USAGE OF HER LEG.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. HOWEVER, WHILE IN THE WAITING ROOM, SHE WAS EXPOSED TO ANOTHER DOG THAT MAY HAVE HAD KENNEL COUGH AND HAD TO BE VACCINATED FOR THAT AS WELL.

THE STAFF WAS INCREDIBLE AND TREATED MY PUPPY AS IF IT WERE ONE OF THEIR OWN. THEY WERE ABLE TO GROOM HIM WITHOUT SEDATION WHICH OTHER GROOMERS WERE NOT ABLE TO DO.
