Kevin Taylor the owner operator was very responsive when meeting with us and getting our estimate together. He told us it would take 2-3 days to completely do the roof and one day to rip out the ceiling 1-2 days to replace drywall a d finish and 1-2 half days to paint and finish. Well by my calculations that is aprox 7 days. I was preparing to go away on vacation and Kevin said he could get it done and work Saturday and Sunday. He started the roof 7/24/2013 and I believe finished the roof on 7/27/2013. They came in and tore down the ceiling. He was supposed to cover the furniture that he said could stay but that didn't really happen. Most furniture was covered with tarps that had a bunch of holes in them and our Hutch was never covered. He said he would hang the ceiling by Sunday night. Well the 1-2 people who showed up hung some of the insulation. I was told that the chimney was flashed wrong and it needed to be redone. He said it was flashed temporarily because of rain. Well that Sunday night war was flowing I to the house and got the good drywall and insulation wet. I called Kevin and he answered late Sunday a d he said they will make sure to wrap it better. We didn't leave for vacation because of water running I to the house (I have video of this and pictures). So we left that Monday and I drove back everyday from the beach that week so he could hang the drywall and insulation. I spoke with the Forman Tony who was told we could t be home Friday but I would leave vacation early so they could wrap up Saturday and paint. Well we came home Friday night and Saturday no one showed up. When I called Kevin he said Tony had his sons football tryouts and would be down right after. Around 1200 I got the message that no one was coming but tony would be there Sunday. Sunday came and tony worked 1/2 a day. We are living out of our bedroom witha 12 year old and 15 month d still. Most days from that point forward only Tony came out and Kevin only showed to collect payment. Well some days they showed up late or not at all. We were replacing the floors with hardwood and told Kevin this all had to be done by8-10-13 as I have someone coming to help lay the floor. Well some days they didn't show or call u less I called. On 8-9-13 Kevin asked if he could get part of the last payment early (the last 1/3 was supposed to be paid when finished) he also said we could borrow his floor nailer at no charge since he was behind schedule. We gave him half of what was owed. I asked him on Saturday about the nailer and he said his brother had it. I had to rent one anyway. He can that Sunday to finish but be still wasn't done. I told him that the arch they did didn't look right and he said that was because we wanted something different then normal. I told him we discussed it and he could do it, he the. Said he could just rip it out and drywall it as he couldn't so anything else for it. I got a text at 615am a text from Kevin on 8-14 saying he was headed to get the nailer and that tony would be there today. I said I need more the 45 min notice. I said Friday would be best. I was supposed to get the contracts and invoice from him as his computer died. He as supposed to be there Friday. Well we didn't hear from him until I texted and he said he was on his way. Recieved another text later around 1 saying he was stuck in traffic in DC and would Saturday be ok. We said we were booked all weekend could we do Monday or Thursday. He said Monday. Well Monday came a d to y worked on a bunch of problem joints in the drywall and many spots missed. He used our tarps after I told Kevin to make sure he had some to protect our hardwood floors and furniture. Well lets say so far one big gouge on the hardwood and huge gouges in our exposed beams. Spoke with Kevin about them working Wednesday he said what time I said 8. I sent a follow up text tuesday asking that Kevin come assist tony with tarping as I couldn't. Recieved a text from Kevin aski g if he finished today can we square up. I texted him at 830 aski g if he was coming. He texted back "can we square up if I finish today." I called him and left a message. He called back 1/2 hour later around 9 asking if I could pay him if done a d he tries to tell me it was our fault that this is dragging on, that we held him up when he wanted to work. He said he told us it was a 12-14 day project which is a straight out lie. I asked if he was coming and he said later today. I asked why and what time and he said when he gets here. I have a life outside waiti g for him to show up. I told him it is more the. A few minutes or hours of work. He said he could be here around 1:30 and needs two hours to be done.

He has told us wrong things, has not shown when he said he will, tells us we are wrong when I have it in writing g from him. I have the problems documented on pictures and video if anyone wants to see it. He did a nice job on the roof but that was it.' He only shows for payment and doesn't manage his crews well. I ca t wait to have him out of our house and will be willing to show anyone the texts, phone logs and emails that go with this.
He finally agreed to get a professional painter here Thursday evening 8/29/2013 and be completed by Saturday 8/31/2013. Well no show no call again until I hounded him then he said when I know u will. He agrees that the job was not done right and that we were right that the joints all able to be seen at night. He further agreed that Tony lied to us multiple times and was sloppy. Things not covered, taping was not done, floors scratched and just a ton of things wrong. We will give him till 5pm today per our agreement in writing then move to another vendor and probably court. He told us he was sorry and over extended and that he fired 4 guys and has too many jobs going on at one time. Sorry that is not my fault.
