About a 1/2 hour after the techician left, the owner called to let me know that it was, in fact, a problem with BGE and that about a 3 mile radius was affected.
Happy that this company followed thru and called BGE and kept me informed.

We had 2 problems to resolve in 2 bathrooms. The first issue was with the hot water in the master, which he couldn't help with, which was expected. The 2nd issue was with our guestroom nozzle where the water comes out of the tub (not the shower head), which was flooding our kitchen below.
Kevin took off the nozzle and noticed how much dry rot was there and immediately ran up to Ace Hardware and purchased a new nozzle and came back and replaced it, solving our problem immediately!! We were thrilled we didn't have to wait an additional day to be able to use our showers again (they were already down for 3 days before this.)
Kevin's promptness was simply amazing! From calling for a quote to having 1 shower fixed was literally less than 2 hours! My daughter was even potty training and he dealt with all our house craziness with a smile.
I would HIGHLY recommend K&H Electric, especially Kevin!

K and H did excellent work at a reasonable price and I would highly recommend them to all.
The owners son, Ricky, did the install. He was very personable, courteous and professional; he represents his father's business very well.
So you can put credence in my recommendation, I am this kind of customer: I called the permit office to make sure that Kand H is in good standing in the county -- they are. I also asked to see proof of workmen's comp directly from Kand H's insurance company. Rick the owner, was very obliging in getting me this information the same day. Yes, Kand H had workmen's comp.
I must say that Rick, the owner, is a very friendly and personable guy. It was a pleasure to have a phone conversation with him, and he scheduled the work to be done the following morning.
Because I am the type of person who leaves no stone unturned, people who know me take my recommendations very seriously.
In short, I highly recommend Kand H Electric.

He worked with me to do a check out of the installation and to optimize the directional settings and other operational details.
The work was done in a timely fashion.
I was also impressed that Jason used the vacuum cleaner upstairs to clean up after himself, without even being asked.
The price was fair and reasonable.
I plan to have other eleectical projects done at the house and will definitely use this company.

I met with the owner and described what I wanted and he wrote it all down. When it came to installation, the sizes of the heaters were different than what was contained in the contract but we agreed because it was a wash in price. The problem was they did not have the thermostats I had requested. We waited weeks to get the correct thermostats. Even after they arrived, they were not the correct size for the two rooms that had two heaters on one thermostat so we had to wait again. After they arrived and were installed, one was installed incorrectly and was always on instead of controlled. We could not figure out why our electric bill was so high but just fixing that thermostat has resulted in our electric bill going from $500 a month and 180 percent of the amount used by neighbors to $183 and 85 percent of the amount used by neighbors. I know that it was starting to warm up for spring but given that we are only at the house weekends, that made more sense. However, as of today, half the outlets in the basement still do not work so I have to have someone else come in to locate and fix the problem.
"Frankly, I am surprised at your review and I am sorry you feel that way. I thought that you were completely satisfied. Our last date of service was 1/27/14 and we have not received any calls regarding our work performed or we would gladly correct the problem or issue. The thermostats were digital and were a special order item and ordered during the holiday season which contributed to the delay. We bought manual thermostats just so the new heaters could be operational during the wait period...at no cost and when the digital one's arrived we changed them out at no additional costs. There were 11 thermostats in total. We never installed the digital thermostats before and found that we needed a certain model to operate the two 8ft heaters than the ones we ordered...we needed a heavy duty one...so it was a learning experience for us but we did all of the work at your scheduled convenience. I never want my customers to be unsatisfied and I will call you right away to respond to the issue with the basement plugs. Rick at K & H Electric, Inc."
