Was given Mikes contact information from a friend, had Mike come out for an estimate. While there he saw that a tree I had previously tried to cut myself was hanging by a tread and could hit my house. Mike decided to push back other appointments and call his crew to come out and take down the tree even saying if I go with his company or not. There was no doubt once he did that I was choosing him. Quote was very reasonable too but you can not beat the customer service, professionalism, and all around great demeanor he has.

They were pretty quick to come out here. They just cut down the tree. I asked them to leave it there and they did. Nothing especially stood out but they did do what I asked them to do and they did it in a pretty short amount of time.

I previously used this company after finding them listed on Angie?s List. The employees were punctual and hard working. Trees were cut and moved as contracted. The stump was ground below soil level. Upon completing the project, the debris was promptly and completely cleaned up. All communication was clear and concise and the work was complete as specified in the quoted contract. Prior to cutting down one of the trees, the contractor advised that he had spotted shingles that were on the roof of my home that are in need of replacing. The three employees were professional and did not hesitate to address my concerns. Alexander?s Tree Service deserves an A+ rating and I highly recommend their service.

The only negative I would have is that when it rained on the original scheduled date for the work to be completed, it would have been nice to receive a confirmation call that  they would not be doing the work that day and when the reschedule date would be - I was the one who had to initiate the calls.
On the date the work was performed they arrived on time and worked until everything was completed.

They showed up when they said they would and completed the job within the time that was set up.  They did a very good job and cleaned up everything as advertised.

I had been trying since January to get Tree Service X to complete this work.  After multiple phone calls and emails with them, I gave up and found Alexander's Tree Service instead.  The owner, Mike Kilinski, visited my home and gave me an estimate the same day I called. He called back with a proposed schedule about a week later.  The day the work was done, he and his crew arrived on time.  They worked with the electric company to deactivate and temporarily remove an overhead power line, then as soon as possible (about 4 hours), got the power restored to my house.  The entire job took the better part of a day, from just before 8:00 a.m. until early afternoon.  Mike also educated me a little bit about tree service licensing in Maryland--requirements for liability insurance, workman's comp, etc.  They removed both the large and small wood from all the trees that were cut.  They did a good job of cleaning up afterward.  There's a certain amount of yard damage that's unavoidable when heavy equipment has to drive over your lawn, but they came prepared to minimize this with large (?rubber) pads that they laid down to drive on.
I can provide photographs of the work in progress and the stump, but I couldn't figure out how to paste them into this review.

A representative showed up as scheduled to survey the work to be done and provide an estimate. We received estimates from other companies as well. Alexander's is licensed and insured in the state of Maryland, we verified this. We chose them not only for their price, but for the professional demeanor of the gentleman (I believe it was Mike) who provided the estimate, as well as the positive ratings already posted for this company on Angie's List. The day the work was originally scheduled to be done was a day after a very heavy rain, so we rescheduled with no problems. There was a crew of 5 men who worked hard,there was no wasting of time. All work was completed as agreed upon, there were no problems. I would recommend this company for their price, their ability, and their getting work done on time.

They cut down 3 very large dead trees near my house, they called back right away and arrived when they said they would for the quote and the tree cutting. The trees fell that way they said they would w/o any damage to my house or surrounding areaI would use them again

This is my secong time using Alexander's, Tree was very close to my home and extra care was taken to preserve the existing lawn. Cost was very reasonable, much less than the other estimates I recieved. Work was performed as discussed and went quickly. I would definately use these folks again and would recommend them without reservation to others.

I got a quote on Friday May 25 2012 and was scheduled as soon as the rain stopped today 5/30/2012. Pricing was superior compared to other A rated Tree Service companies on Angie's List. It turns out a neighbor has used them as well, but I did not know that at the time I contracted.They did an excellent job, including one tricky tree that needed to fall "just so". It barely rustled the leaves on a beautiful tree it had to miss on the way down, Very impressed.Three trees removed and stumps ground.  Stump grindings not hauled away (as agreed and as is typical).Two of these were adjacent at the base, a tall Tulip Poplar and a large but storm damaged cedar."Raise Lower Limbs" on five other trees that were threatening the roof of our home. Three of the RLLs were major jobs, two were lightly cleaned up to avoid mowing hazards.One cedar trunk cut up for firewood.Excellent cleanup.
This company is really super, and we will be using them again in due course.

They were really good.  They do the job and they come in when they say they’re going to.  They clean up after themselves.  These guys are good.  They’re very reasonable.  I will use them again in the future.

Contacted them for an estimate. Representative was prompt and professional and provided the most economical estimate of the trhee I recieved. Work crew was ontime and very efficient. Job took most of the day and I was impressed by the professionalism and care othe work crew exhibited. Alexanders Tree Service did a fantastic job and exceeded all of my expectations. Goes to show you that Angie's List works because this is where I found this company. I would use them again without question and recommend them without reservation.

They did an excellent job and had the best price by far.  We were very satisfied with their services.

Alexander's Tree Service provided a prompt written estimate and was the only service that also promptly provided proof of a currently valid  insurance policy.  The quote was very competitive, simple, but professionally wriiten. The company was easy to communicate with and returned my calls.  Four men came to my house with a "bucket truck" as planned and on time.  There was an  electrical power wire and other wires in the immediate vicinity of both trees and one tree had a branch stretching over my home.  All work was performed with skill, careful attention to the wires and to my house and landscaping.  I watched and was really impressed!  Clean-up was terrific and, at my request the men left some of the smaller logs for my woodstove, using my wheelbarrow to move it where I store my wood under the deck.   They were terrific and I highly recommend  the company.  I will definitley use them the next time I need a tree service. - D.
