Wrote a 5 star review on yelp in 2016. Have used this plumber for 4 jobs and received good service until the last visit. Was sent a very young plumber who was obviously very new at his job. Was supposedd to reinstall all plumbing under our kitchen sink including a garbage disposal and hot water heater dispenser as well as the normal hot and cold water lines. Most off the time was spent staring at the area trying to figure out how to hook up the hot water unit. Finally a more experienced coworker came along and they both stared at it. Three hours later I was presented with a larger than $500 bill and was told they couldn't figure out how to hook it up. I told them that the job they should have completed was in no way worth the $500 but that Mr Moxley had always been fair and reasonable in the past, so I wrote a check. I then gave Mr. Moxley a call which he did not return. Several days later my husband called since he was the one who went to the store and found a standard fitting to hook up the hot water dispenser to explain and was told that he'd make it right. Shortly after we discovered the garbage disposal leaks whenever the water level in the sink rises. We had a two very large leaks that required a lot of house repair work and after months of dealing with a leaking sink and many other issues were finally ready to get the final issues fixed. I called Mr. Moxley again and reminded him that he said he'd make right on the overcharge and never received a response. Guess I'm out .$500 and have a leaky sink too. I thought I had found a good plumber, but guess he just got too busy and can't keep up with response time or quality based on my update and the most recent posted reviews.

They came on time, fixed it quickly and it doesn't leak now. Had another issues with a shut-off value to the outside of the house that was leaking. They instructed me over the phone how to tighten a nut that should stop the leak, I did and it worked. Wow, that was great service that saved them time and me money. I will always call Moxley when I have plumbing issues.

I had the pleasure of working with John Moxley for our fixer-upper. He helped us locate our elusive septic tank and provided valuable information regarding our radiators. John is busy, but he is always the first person I call and recommend!

Only took an hour and it is not leaking now!

This is a late review for work done December 2016. We lost water pressure in our well. Called Moxley and he sent someone within a few hours. They determined it was a leak in a connecting pipe. Truly exceptional work, professional and trustworthy. They could have easily charged me more and I wouldn't have known. Thank you.

We received an estimate from a different plumber for $1,100 for the same work but that didn't pass the sniff test. Moxley Plumbing came out and determined the issue in both bathroom faucets. For one faucet they didn't have the part so they quickly ran out to get it and the total for the work including parts and labor was about $300. They were on time, professional, and knew exactly what needed to be fixed.

We had a very good experience with Moxley. Plumbing is never something one wants to do, if they don't have to, but Moxley made the process relatively painless.

Their pricing was very fair, they came right away, and they were very personable. It was sort of any emergency situation for us and they were out the following day. They worked really well with the homeowner doing a really good job very quickly. I would highly recommend them. It was a pleasure working with them.

Mr. Moxley was very helpful and provided cost estimate based on information we provided. Our kitchen double-basin sink drain gurgled loudly and frequently backed up in one basin when the disposal was run in the other. We tried many and quot;solutionsand quot; but nothing worked until Mr. Moxley reworked the pipes and installed a vent under the sink. We feared that the plumbing vent in the roof needed to be flushed and/or snaked, but it did not. This was a lot simpler and it works perfectly!!! While he was here, we had the 20' of flexible tubing for the icemaker replaced with copper.
Being a typical old house, we were faced a week later with a bathtub faucet that stopped providing water. Based on the previous experience with Moxley Plumbing, we promptly called for help and John Moxley came to our rescue. The old hot water faucet stem had given it up and was preventing water from flowing. The stem and faucet washers were replaced and all is well. This is a small family business that has earned an excellent reputation for their work, their affordability, and for their integrity. The approximate costs includes both dates of service.

Moxley pluming showed up on time, and provided a service when I needed someone immediately to make sure we met the requirements of a home inspection. He really took the time to explain the type of unit that was in the home and his price was very reasonable compared to other companies. I would recommend this company for any pluming service and I will not use another.

Excellent; showed up a couple minutes early and went striaght to work. He was so effecient and professional. What a completley positive experience.

Not really an emergency but something that needed to be repaired in a timely fashion so as not to hold up the remodeling project currently underway. Called at 7am - arrived at 8am - Job Done by 9:15am! and at a very fair price. WOW! - really appreciate the response!

He was excellent! I thought he was straight foward and honest. He didn't try to upsell me, and he fixed the problems at hand. The quality of his work is outstanding!
