McLaughlin Painting & Decorating

I was extremely dissatisfied with this company which does kitchen/bathroom remodeling and renovations plus other general house repairs, inside and out, plus roofing. The guy who supervises the work crew, Tim Tinsley, started off to be quite personable and reliable, but as time went on, his attitude drastically changed. I had to call him back repeatedly because things, with one exception (kitchen flooring, which was not done well because moldings were lighter in color than rest of flooring), he had repaired were coming undone, and I was back to square one. It would take him forever to come back to fix them, and when he fixed them, they still did not hold up well. He also did not want to come back because the repair jobs were much too small. He really was interested only in large scale repair work where he could make money and lots of it. He's all about the money, and his fees are very high to the point of being unreasonable. Finally, I had called him several times, and he never responded or came. To my surprise, he sent one of his coworkers, which I did not like. My advice is to avoid this company.

I can't speak too highly of Tim and his crew. They were on time, did excellent work and were responsive to all our requests. When we identified some small projects outside the original scope that needed to be fixed they cheerfully did them. I would have no hesitation in recommending McLaughlin for any job.
