The work was just ok. The person who did the work was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing. I understand that drywall mud takes time to dry so my expectations that he could completely repair the walls in just a few hours was fairly low. He did his best to do it by using quick drying mud. But even that takes quite a while do dry. I helped him by using a heat gun to accelerate the drying. That helped. After a while, I left him to finish on his own. He came downstairs, said he was done, and then left. When I went upstairs, I was shocked to find the entire room (literally) covered in drywall dust. It took hours to clean it up.
The appointment was set for 9:00 a.m., on 06/21/13, which Chris called to confirm the evening before. First, Chris was an hour late arriving. He was scheduled to arrive at 9:00, at 9:15 he had not arrived or called so I called him. He informed me he had to make a stop in Germantown, and would be at my home within another 1/2 hour. He actually arrived at 10:00.
It took him from 10:15 to 3:00;over 4 hours; to complete everything except the latch/spring, 2 shelf boards/brackets,and 2 light switches. At the maximum it should have taken 2 hours to complete these items. The other items were not completed. He did not have the "romex" to do the lights, and was unwilling to go to get them. So the primary thing I wanted done;as expressed to Mr. Weiger during my initial conversation, did not get done.
According to the instructions for the blinds, it should have taken just a DIY person 25 minutes for each, so a maximum of 100 minutes. Therefore it should have taken a professional less time. Based on information gleened from a blind installer, no more than an hour to install all 4 blinds.
There were several other items that were to be completed, yet as he took so long to complete the basic things listed above there was no time to complete the more complicated connection of the 3 recessed lights by attaching to the existing light in the unfinished ceiling in my laundry room. Neither was the newly purchased patio furniture and umbrella assembled.
When I called the owner of the company on July 1,2013, to express my dissatisfaction with his worker's performance, and to
give him the opportunity to rectify the situation. He told me that he would not be sending anyone else to my home to complete the work, nor would he refund any of my money. I told him, fine, I will just make my review and file a complaint, with Angie's List, and let them handle it from there. He then threatened me while using profanity. I terminated the call at that point.
The owner of this company is extremely unprofessional, and his staff is at best inept, and at worst unethical.
"Shes a con artist this the kind of stuff that she does with everyone who does anything weather it be serves workers or anything else. Complains until she gets free stuff well shes not getting any here we don’t play that way, never did and never will. Shes a hoarder, she has sh*t stacked up to the cieling in the hole house, my guy didn’t even want to do the work because, of that and the smell of roting food, but I told him that he should try and do it because I thought she needed help. So much for good deeds. Now, also like I said shes a con man all she did the hole time he was there was call companys up and complain. SO if you believe her, your pretty da*n gulible."
"Thank you so much for the great feedback! I loved working with you. Please feel free to call me in the future if you ever need anything at all."
"I'm so glad we were able to work together! You are a great guy and we loved working for you. You know you are welcome to call us in the future if you need anything."
