Flooring
Within a few years grout was coming out. At eight years, tiles were coming off in the master bathroom shower. Due to the use of greenboard backer board, which is similar to drywall, the tiles could not be recemented because the greenboard was disintegrating (dissolving). If cement backerboard had been used instead of greenboard, the tile could have been recemented. As a result, the entire bathroom tile and greenboard needs to be removed and new cement backer board installed along with new tile. This will require removal of shower doors and tub because tile goes around tub as well as shower. Floor tiles may also need to be removed because it is not possible to match tile color accurately from different batches. Use of cement backer board in the beginning would have prevented all of this. The second upstairs bathroom looks to be breaking down as well and will need the same.
The flooring in the kitchen and first floor bathroom is turning yellow and has orange spots, possibly from nails or screws below flooring. When I called Stonemark, it was still within the 10 year warranty covering discoloration. Stonemark wanted to charge me $125 to come out and look at it. I thought that was unreasonable because they had already hinted it was due to water seepage. I never had them out.

Flooring
It went great. Their field manager helped me prepare for the installation, control the dust, and debris. The job, including demolition took just three days.
