MT AIRY GLASS & DOOR SVC

For the initial quote, I contacted Mt. Airy Glass a couple of different ways to receive a response.  I first called their office number and left a message, then after five days without a response, I filled out a form on their company's website.  I received a quote via email the next day.    Jim, the owner, and I finally connected and we had him come out to measure the window.  He said the replacement should be in within 3-4 weeks, which it did.  We scheduled the installation for a Tuesday, but unfortunately no one showed up.   I left a message on Jim's cell phone a couple hours after the scheduled time elapsed; but didn't receive a call until the next morning.   Jim indicated they had my information in the wrong  work day's box, but could come between jobs late that morning to install the window.   Although responsiveness wasn't up to par, which he was apologetic due to being very busy, his workmanship and professionalism outweigh the negative items.  Not to mention his prices are very fair; additionally he spent a couple of minutes giving me suggestions on why our shower door is leaking and suggestions to fix it.   I would use Jim again, he knows his line of business. 

Mt Airy Glass promptly returned calls and kept us informed of the status of the glass order as well as the possible dates for installation.  The work was done quickly and efficiently and we are happy with the repair.  They were also able to provide estimates for other projects we are considering.

Jim is the owner and will come out, give estimate and does the work himself.  We have used him to replace the glass in a window in bedroom, replace windows in multiple windows in bedrooms and basement and he also did custom seamless shower glass door.

I contacted MT AIRY GLASS AND DOOR when our development's landscape company shot a rock from one of their seated mowers into my sliding glass door.  Jim Queen came by the same day I called him as he happens to live near my home. He helped us stabalize the glass so it wouldn't shatter all over the place and he got in touch with our HOA as they were paying for the repalcement glass door. I also asked Jim to provide a new screen door as the old one was torn. Jim gave us estimates and dates due for both projects and he did them both on time!  Our new screen door is great and the sliding glass door fit like a glove.
When we had Jim over to install our doors, he also took a look at our windows and told us that our windows were great and that we didn't need any replacements. This was after I had two vendors come to the house to try and sell me thousands of dollars in replacement windows. Jim told me what to look for when buying replacement windows and the ones that came with the house were similar to what these other two vendors tried to sell me. Thanks to Jim's honesty and candor, we saved a great deal by working with him.
Jim's a great guy and easy to work with.  I will use him any time I need a new door or window!
