The system is over 40 years old and there were a number of issues in addition to the shorted wire. Unfortunately, fixing wells are expensive, and I normally do repair work myself. However, they recommended a number of things that I would not have thought of, and I agreed with every recommendation they made. I think the work they did was better than I could have done myself.  I have renewed confidence in the system. I appreciate their work.

It works really well. Like for the winter, we do not have any more propane. It just pulls it up from the ground now. It is environmental. Getting it in is more expensive, but in the long run, it is cheaper. They gave us a good estimate. They stuck by their estimate. All the work they did was great. They came back. Everything was cleaned up and leveled. It was good.

It went as well as can be expected. It was a very cold day in the middle of winter and snow covered the ground they came did their assessment and replaced the pump all in the same visit. They were efficient and speedy and now I have water again.

Scheduling wasn't too bad considering the time it took to get the permits pulled and the weather. George is the Owner and I worked with both he and Frank.  They were very knowledgeable and I have had no problems with the work since.  They were very fair with the cost.  I would recommend them to anyone with well problems.

It went extremely well from start to finish. I got only one bid -- from Easterday -- because they were highly recommended by a neighbor. They inspected the property, did the permitting, and performed the work professionally with a very experienced team. Drilling a 450-foot deep well and a long four-foot deep trench requires a lot of restoration of the landscape. The cuttings have to contained, erosion has to be managed. It was all done very well. They had to lop off large branches from a tree to get the rig on to my property -- they had informed me beforehand that this would be needed. Removal of the large branches was not in the contract. But when I requested it, they removed them at no charge. They had to coordinate installation with the heat pump provider (Total Comfort of Smithsburg, Maryland). They did this all in a timely way so the project came together very well and on time. An excellent experience.

I like that they only deal with well water so they are very knowledgeable. They did everything correctly. Scheduling was great and they followed through with an email. They arrived on time for the appointment. Two technicians came out and it took about 10 hours total to complete the job. They had a person for every department.

Their guys were great! Each of their respective teams -- well drillers, geothermal loopers, cleanup, interior install, all showed up on time, were thoroughly professional and were cool enough to answer all my questions. More importantly, they all provided excellent quality of work. In addition, the years and breadth of experience of their personnel alleviated any fears I had about something going wrong. Their price was competitive with 4 other drillers but I chose them based on their years of experience and time in the business (3rd generation). In hindsight, they were awesome! These are the guys to choose for anything to do with well drilling or geothermal wells.

Our old jet pump started leaking in the basement, so we called around and decided to have Easterday replace our well system. They recommended and installed the same components that other companies suggested, but had one of the lower bids. In the end, I chose Easterday because they had a good price and I liked that the owner came to my house for the estimate.
In one day, they removed our old jet pump and tank, replaced it with a new submersible pump and larger tank. They reused the old jet pump pipes from the house to the well (one for water, one as electrical conduit), so damage to the yard was minimal. I also asked them to patch up the hole in the foundation where the pipes come into the house which would leak in heavy rains, and they did without changing the original price.
Very happy with the whole process, and I haven't had any problems. Not having the jet pump in the basement anymore is great.

Easterday's drilling rig is a very large, very heavy truck. They fenced off the drilling area and the dumpster for the cuttings with hay bales to prevent water runoff and erosion in other parts of the yard. They hit a lot of rock and it took 5 days to complete the three wells. They trenched from the wells to the basement wall and installed the loops and connected them with the flow center in the basement. When they were done, they regraded the yard, seeded, and spread straw. A couple of months later, you couldn't tell that they had been there. The work inside the house was professionally done and is neat and clean.

We had a minor leak where they had drilled through the basement wall to bring the loops into the house. They returned promptly and sealed the leak and we have not had any issues since.

They did a great job and we would use them again.
