I had met with several other landscaping companies, and hands down Dr Snell provided the best design and professionalism. Rick came out and asked many questions none of the other companies did, which showed me he had extensive knowledge of plants that would be the best for my yard. My husband and I met with Rick to review the plan and discuss pricing. During the meeting we made some changes and discussed pros and cons of them. Rick was so easy to work with. Everyone who we encountered before, during and after the work was done were professional and nice to work with.
The men who came to perform the landscaping were very nice as well. They worked quickly and did a great job. I can't express how happy I am with the job they did. Highly recommend.

This was a large project and I trusted Rick's expertise and choices in materials to best complete the project. The landscaping is beautiful, unfortunately an extremely large evergreen tree he planted died and I am still trying to get it replaced. The large patio is beautiful. The shed has some issues. The pavers used to enclose the shed are underground level in some areas and leak in water. Mold is now covering everything, the wood walls and things I have stored inside. After my first call he came out and called and sprayed a watersealer on the block. After the second call they called some more. After my third call he installed an exhaust fan. Now he just says there is going to be some water in there and I will have to keep the fan running and deal with it. I'm not happy about that at all. The waterfall and pond are lovely. The pergola was made and installed by a company in Pennsylvania. It is lovely except for the white unsightly sap that has seeped out of the wood. Rick was going to have someone from the pergola company come out and sand the Sap off but after 2 calls no one has come out yet. The lighting installed by an electrician is beautiful. Overall the yard is stunning except for the enormous dead tree in the middle of it.

"The specimen Weeping Alaskan Cypress Cypress installed in the landscape has been replaced. We had to wait until summer till the yard was dry enough to access the back yard without damaging the yard and existing landscaping. The tree was not dead it was actually starting to recover from being over watered. After we installed the initial tree I advised the customer that it was being over watered. She stated that here daughter had left the water run on the tree for a week. On a later next visit the tree was still being over watered, and I suggested that she stop watering the tree. Finally after the Lisa stopped watering the tree it started to look better. I gave her the option to replace the tree even though it wasn't dead and she requested it be replaced , so we did. We enclosed an area below her deck for storage. There were issues with watering leaking in the walls block. We dug the area and installed an rubber membrane to stop the leaking. The Pergola was installed by the Amish, it is a mortise and tendon structure. They have completed numerous projects for our company. Their workmanship is exceptional. They have had issues with the sap of Douglas fir bleeding thru the stain. They have offered to come and disassemble the pergola refinish and reinstall it . From past experience they have found only one particular stain to eliminate the sap from bleeding and being unsightly. They will use any color stain the customer wishes, but will stand behind only the proven stain against the sap bleeding . This stain is natural in color, not dark like the existing stain. It has been several months since we have offered to do this, the Amish contractor or I have not heard how she wants to proceed. It is our intention to make every customer we work for to be completely satisfied, and will do everything in our power to do so."

I had a wonderful experience using D.R. Snell for my front yard landscape design and install. I have been a customer of their nursery for years and am always impressed with their large selection of plants and gardening supplies as well as the excellent quality of their plants. The staff there has assisted me on several occasions to select the right remedy for garden pests and shrub ailments. They are always knowledgeable and friendly. My latest project is a complete redo of my front yard to include new stairs, sidewalk, garden, grading, and seeding. Rick came out in March and surveyed my yard. He drew up a new plan and we met to discuss it. He was prompt, easy to work with and really tailored the design to our needs having three small kids. He was very knowledgeable about each of plants and took the time to review each with me with their upkeep needs and blooming schedules. He also had a nice selection of durable pavers for our sidewalk. We scheduled the install date for second week of June and he was here on time! His crew worked fast and even worked on a Saturday to get it completed. They were on time, fast, friendly and did an exceptional job! I especially love the boulders and natural rock stairs leading down into the yard since he knew the kids would run through the garden rather than around on the sidewalk. I love my new yard and can't wait to see what he can do with the rest of it.

They did a wonderful job. They have helped me with all the landscaping in our yard. We continue to add more each year with their help. They do a wonderful job with design and picking plants the work right in our soil. They always go over how to take care of the plants after installation. They are a pleasure to work with.

THEY LANDSCAPED THE FRONT and BACK YARDS OF THE HOME. THEY DO REALLY GOOD WORK. THEIR WORKERS ARE PUNCTUAL and PROFESSIONAL. I WILL USE THEM AGAIN and WILL REFER THEM AS WELL.

THEY SPENT A LOT OF TIME WITH ME DISCUSSING MY GOALS AND WHAT I WANTED TO DO. THE INSTALLATION WAS VERY SMOOTH. THEY EVEN HELPED ME REMOVE AN OLD TREE STUMP AND DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR IT. THEY SPENT A LOT OF TIME EXPLAINING TO ME HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE PLANTS.
