I wrote a negative review on Angie's list regarding this company which I would like to change. However, once written, Angie's list does not allow one to change or delete the written review. Therefore, I am writing another review. I had some issues, but the issues were all satisfactorily resolved. The problems were mostly miscommunications between the owner and myself. The follow-up work that was completed by Donovan contractors was done in a professional manner.

Stay away from this company. Originally, I provided a positive review. The crew was prompt, courteous, and hardworking. However, a couple of months after the painting of my house, some problems started surfacing. Nails they supposedly pulled out and replaced with screws, started popping out again. The owner insists these are new nail pops, but they aren't. All the current nail pops are essentially in the exact same areas as the previous nail pops. Additionally, other problems, like separations between pieces of dry wall that they repaired are again starting to separate and lines/grooves between the pieces are developing in several ceiling areas. I contacted the owner for warranty service. He originally agreed to do repairs, but then suddenly changed his mind. He now refuses to do any warranty work at all even though the contract states that the workmanship is warranted for one year. The contract also specifically states that all pop nails would be removed and screws put in their place. This didn't happen. The owner claims it did. However, other than coming to my house to collect the deposit before the work commenced and then again once the work was done to collect the final payment, he never stopped by to inspect the work. There was absolutely no supervision on his part. So, he really has no idea of what the workers actually did. I have started legal action against the company

Extremely professional and fast. They do an excellent job with prep - finding and repairing holes and dents in the walls before they even start. Lead guy was easy to work with and Craig is on top of everything. Used them about 8 years ago as well as recently, same great experience. Highly recommend.

Craig came over our house for a thorough estimate and we picked him after meeting with four different painters. Craig gave us three different estimates as we decided what we wanted painted and was paitient with us the whole time with our back and forth. After we agreed to having Craig he accomadated us even further as he came earlier so we could get our first floor set up and get rid of all our boxes in the garage. The painters did everything in two days and cleaned everything up. My wife is a bit on the particular side and the paint job made her smile. We were both very satisfied in the end and the results were showing after the first day. If I need paint jobs in the future we will use Donavanās painting.

Very responsive.They completed the job in one day, did fantastic prep and finish work. Very professional crew. Donovan's Painting painted my two-story foyer, master bedroom and kitchen ceiling. Craig was very thorough when he came to provide an estimate. I felt very comfortable with having Donovan do the work. Scheduling was a little uneven as he called the night before they wanted to begin. We were going to be out of town during the 3-day schedule, but we worked that out with Craig and his team. When we returned the job was done, but some follow-up was needed. Craig and the job foreman were on it immediately and not only went through my punch list, but exceeded my expectations in many ways. The end result is a beautiful, professional paint job at a very reasonable cost. I am very satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend Donovan's or use them again for future work.

Excellent. The three man team did an exceptional job!! They were courteous, professional and paid great attention to detail. The end product gave the front of the house a 'like new' appearance. We were very pleased with the service from Donovan's Painting. Provider was responsive in meeting with us and providing quote, the quality of the painting was excellent and provider was able to meet our very short deadline to have the project completed. Craig the owner was quick with calling and sending estimate, he helped guide me in the areas of where to start and stop since I was not painting the whole house, and trust me he is a patient man as I was all over the place with color decisions. His estimates are easy to read. The two painters that came, one named tioto (sp) friendly, clean, nice prep work, beautiful job! I have always done all the painting, but never again. I will hire them over and over. Look no further, although I would like to keep them as my little secret. I got 3 estimates to compare prices.

I can't say enough good things about Donovan's painting and Craig Punte, the owner. The painting team was at my house for 2.5 days. They were punctual, polite, and cleaned up every evening. The painting itself is excellent- lines are poker straight and the walls are evenly coated. You can tell the painting crew was well trained and with a lot of experience. I would also add that Craig will go the extra mile for the client. The paint store provided the wrong paint which the crew applied. When I noticed and called Craig, he told me he would get the correct paint and send the crew to correct it ASAP. And, he did. I wish I could find a general contractor like that!

Service and quality was excellent. Owner visited to provide additional layer of oversight. Highly professional team on-site, with strong project leader. Completely dependable and reliable with superior results. We highly recommend this company. High value for the price. Price was higher, but I'm firm believe in getting what you pay for and the process and results were well worth high quality, professional job completed in a timely manner.

Had received an estimate from someone else prior and they failed to show up to do the job. I contacted three Exterior painters for another estimate and Donovan's was the first one to respond and also with the same estimate that the no show offered. The painters were meticulous in preparing the outside of my home from any drippings, painted my 6 shutters on my home within one hour - all in all I am very happy with the performance of this company and their employees. Tieto was one of the painters (there were two) both of these men were most courteous and professional. Craig Punte - the owner was very responsive to all my emails and phone calls. Will recommend to anyone. Great Job! Great Customer Service Company.

The Donovan's Painting team arrived on time and worked efficiently to accommodate our schedule. Craig provided regular updates on the progress of the work and any issues that were encountered. He checked in with me daily to be sure I was satisfied with the quality of the work completed and did a final walk-through to go over every detail. The owner was prompt on the first day of work, introducing me to the main foreman who would be overseeing the workers. Took extremely good care in covering my furniture, etc. Very neat in their work, and showed extreme professionalism. Very polite, and respected our personal belongings. The scope of work was changed from my original proposal, and Craig (owner) was very willing to work with me to have the additional work performed within the timeframe he allowed for the job. Craig came back at the end of each work day to ensure I was satisfied with the work-to-date. The foreman told me at the end of each day to check work to progress and point out any concerns to him which he would correct. There were a few minor issues, but they were corrected without any issues. This is my second time dealing with painters, and by far Donovan's was far superior to my first encounter. I felt very comfortable with his crew, and would recommend his company to anyone who is looking for a professional, yet affordable painting company.

The man who owns/operates Donovan's painting was more like a contractor. He dropped off two individuals each day (except for the last day there were three) with very limited English speaking skills then took off. It was painfully obvious these workers either had very limited skills and/or had absolutely no interest in work quality. There were areas that had to have re-pressure washed. In fact, they had to use my pressure washer one day because the one they had was on another job. One of the workers was painting the wood around my front door with out scraping the old chipped paint off. I pointed it out, and it was a good thing I did because there was some dry-rot to be attended to. Still, even after that, the paint job around the front door was extremely sloppy. The caulking above the door was carelessly applied, and paint also went onto the brick exterior and the wood sides of the front door. One worker painted the garage entrance door while shut with semi-gloss exterior paint, and most people know that when you work with semi-gloss, the surface has to be completely painted at one time for a smooth finish. The shutters were adequately painted. The patio was well done (after having to be pressure washed again before painting)
The owner/operator brought in a third man on the fourth and last day, and he seemed to be much more skilled, fluent in English and acted quite professionally and friendly. I wish that he was present in the beginning to oversee the other two. The paint that got on the brick surfaces by the door and under windows was metal brushed off for the most part. After the sloppy work I had witnessed, I decided I did not want to risk my front door (with decorative glass) painted. It seemed if there could be a short cut taken, it was and I had to call the workers out on it and address my concerns to the owner/operator. He did try to make sure the job was left to my liking, but in all honesty, I just settled for what was done. The job was definitely not worth what I paid for..
