Roger is fantastic. He had no problem with my doing some of the work myself, and even lent me some of his tools! He was very responsive to phone and email, and was on time. Although some of the work was done by subcontractors, they are topnotch, and Roger made sure everything was done right. I would not hesitate to use his services again. UPDATE: One of the parts of the job was to purchase and install an HVAC unit. I made it clear to Roger that I wanted one of the units that were eligible for the tax energy rebate. Roger used a subcontractor to select and install the unit. When I did my taxes, I found out that the unit installed did NOT qualify for the rebate. Roger blamed the subcontractor, the subcontractor blamed Roger and me. The subcontractor said there are so many manufacturers and units, how could he possibly know which ones were eligible? Uh, because it's your job? This error cost me about $1500. Neither Roger nor the sub were willing to commit to even a partial compensation for the screwup. Also, the sub overcharged me on the unit in the first place. A major stain on an otherwise good experience.
