Mike offered me an option to fix my problem and he said that I could do it myself. I purchases what I needed off the internet and for under $300 we are in great shape. Mike even offered to come over and help install it if I ran into problems.

No cost, no fuss. Very professional and patient. Since the fan was operating, many people could have said that everything was just fine and that I was being picky. Mike listened to my concerns and I showed him why I thought it was not functioning properly and he agreed and trouble shooted the problem and fixed it. The unit is now functioning at peak efficiency.

The crews worked professionally and with respect for the homeowner. I am a technically oriented individual who asks many questions and does a lot of research prior to making a decision. Mike never complained when I made observations/suggestions with regard to the equipment and installation. When they encountered moldy duct work, they removed it and installed new without blinking an eye. Each day the site was cleaned and broomed. Heavy equipment had to be removed and new equipment taken down a narrow stair case and extreme care was taken not to bump the walls nor mar the steps. A few exciting moments did occur during installation, but the calm demeanor of Mike was always present and very professional.
The system is operating flawlessly and the efficiencies are at or above the advertised values.

We purchased a new home in 2009 and thing were fine until 2011, when we started having issues with the heating and A/C. We contacted the builder and they referred us to a contractor that came out and refilled the 410A Puron and said we were good to go. Come to find out we were not good to go. We continued to have issues within 3 months or so. Again the contractor came and did the same thing. The next year we started having issues again with the A/C not blowing cold air. I contacted a local company (Starkey Meachanical, Inc.) and thank god....they were very quick to respond and sent their experienced tech Jeff to inspect the unit. Jeff found that the coil in the air handler was bad and leaking out the Puron. He was surprised that the previous contractor had not found this issue nor pressure tested the unit. Starkey Mechanical went above and beyond to solve our issue and found that the expensive coil was defective and under warranty, so they ordered a new one. Jeff came back and completed the work on time and very thorough. I highly recommend Starkey Mechanical, Inc. to anyone having issues with their HVAC system. What a god send they were. They are honest, quick to respond and do quality work!! Thank You Starkey!
