I don't use it much myself but my daughter and wife use it and I know my daughter particularly likes the aerobics classes and my wife was high on the spinning classes. They have a good range of equipment, good instructors and good programs.
Description of Work: My daughter went to Severna Park Racquetball & Fitness Club about 10 days ago.

The overall experience was good. I took advantage of the free fitness test as part of the new membership, which included heart rate monitoring, stretching, blood pressure, body fat, and cardio. As part of the assessment, a member of the staff helped me setup a workout plan and schedule using the available machines. The gym was never extremely crowded, even during what I would assume to be peak hours (6pm-7pm weeknights). There were plenty of treadmills, so I never encountered a time where one was not available. Interactions with the staff were always pleasant. My girlfriend used the pool and attended some of the group classes. She only had positive experiences using both the pool and classes. Ultimately, we ended up not continuing the membership due to our available time to use the gym versus the cost.
Description of Work: Obtained a gym membership to use pool and weight room. Membership did not include racquetball court use.

I have been a member for many years. They have not kept up with changes in spinning programs (equipment, staff, etc.) and their spinning management changed one year ago and, unfortunately, not for the better. The management of SPRFC needs to update their spinning program and improve their staff. They have lost good employees while retaining less qualified ones. I am still a member but my children have all left SPRFC for greener pastures. I may too if things do not improve.
Description of Work: Used to be great, now it is average.

I feel that the staff is exceptional. I like the variety of machines and classes that they have. They have an Olympic sized pool and they offer water classes. They have a child care center and plenty of parking. I feel that the hours are long and accommodating. They are even open for several hours on the holidays. They have a snackbar that offers a light lunch menu. They have a lot to offer.
Description of Work: My husband and I have an annual membership at this fitness club.
