I was very pleased with the service that was provided. He came and used a remote control to work the machine used to grind the stump that was located in my front yard. It didn't take long. You will not go wrong hiring this company to remove your stump. Thank you for providing excellent service.

Call Greg and left a message describing scope of work. Called me back within 1 hour. Said he would stop by the following week, if I agreed with the estimate he could do the work immediately. He called the night before to let me know he was coming out . Arrived on time and did the work efficiently. The nice part is he asked what we had planned to do with the area (sodding, planting etc). He offered ideas and suggestions. Will definitely use again. BTW, grinded down 3 stumps with largest over 30".

The whole process was flawless. They waited for a day when the ground was relatively dry. We’ve been getting a lot of rain lately and they didn’t want to take any chances of damaging the landscaping. The grinding machine was remotely guided to our backyard. Within an hour the job was done. Over 20 stumps removed and a small tree. Very impressed. I would definitely hire this company again.

Mathew was subcontracted by our landscaper. He was very courteous, listen to our request, explained to us what could be done. The job was done in less than 1h. He even had plywood to protect some areas from the flying chips. We have no knowledge of the cost as we paid our landscaper with other jobs as taking down the trees.

Excellent. Greg gave us a great quote and completed the work very thoroughly in a short amount of time, without damaging either new grass nor a very near newly-planted bush. We would definitely recommend this company to others and hire them again ourselves.

Greg came out and inspected the area. He then called me to explain what he had to do, we agreed on the price they got it done quickly and everyone is happy.

Matt did everything he said he would do. He provided the quote as promised and charged the exact amount. He didn't under or over-promise on the result and set my mind at ease when I had questions after the service was completed. He kept in touch with me mostly by text-message which is what I prefer. I wasn't home when he was there but my wife said he was friendly and polite to her and the kids. Since I wasn't there he even texted me a couple of photos. I have a pretty small yard and his grinder couldn't fit through my gate, so I had to remove a section of fence the morning of the service. This was no big deal for me, and Matt asked me to do it with enough time for me to make sure it happened. I like to pay only for stuff I can't do, so every bit of labor I can take off of the pro's job is cool with me. Economy Stump wasn't the lowest quote/estimate I got, but they were very close- and the experience was exactly what I was looking for.

I was pumping gas at a local gas station and happened to see an Economy Stump Removal truck at the pump next to me. I spoke to Greg and explained that I had a very large stump in my yard that needed to be ground down. Greg took my information and stopped by my home the very next morning. The quoted price was more than reasonable and Greg was in and out in no time. I highly recommend. Thank you.

Greg kept his appointment and was able to do the job right away. His price beat my other estimate by $115.00. He protected my neighbors basement window  and my heat-pump from flying wood chips. When he was done he even had a leaf blower to blow away any chips/dirt fro the sidewalk and walk path. I am really happy with the results. 

IThe job was scheduled within one business day of the inquiry and the work was done within 1/2 hour.  There were piles of debris to cleanup but that's to be expected.  Greg was on time and the price was lower than two other quotes I received.

The entire process took less than an hour. 1 stump was gone in less than 60 seconds. Very courteous.

One of the stumps was close to the house and located inside a raised bed. Greg was able to grind the stump with little damage to the railroad ties. I have hired him before and will hire him again. Great service, good quality.

Outstanding. The owner is pretty much a one man show with a serious piece of equipment. Took me one day to make contact and find out he would be in my area (E.C., Howard County) after his work in the Eastern Shore. His company's website had a grinding estimator, so I did not get any sticker shock when he arrived for the quick estimate. We agreed to the price and within 30 minutes he was done.
I will not hesitate to call on them again for further work and recommend them to family, friends and co-workers.

next day. All messes were cleaned up and all services were completed as
advertised. I would use the service again and recommend to everyone.
After pricing out rental equipment, it was about the same price to have
economy stump removal do it for me.

Greg came out to do his portion of the stump grinding after Paul finished the tree removal. Greg even accommodated our busy schedules and came out around 1730 on a weekday.
Paul brought the right amount of manpower to come in and clean up our yard. We had some scraggly pines that needed to be removed, a huge dead tree that had already fallen over and a cluster of dead trees that were leaning over -- all of which had to be removed from our yard.
Paul's crew did exactly what I'd asked them to do and even took care to preserve trees they thought we would want. Paul offered candid advice about the trees we ought to keep versus the ones that would cause problems for us in the future. The crew carefully positioned the trees to fall in a safe direction, away from our fence. They even removed some precarious limbs that could fall onto our fence in a future storm. Paul brought in a wood chipper and condensed the trees down into one dump truck, whereas other folks were quoting me exorbitant rates for the dump fee of 3 tuck loads since they would not be chipping the trees. Paul's friend Greg, the stump grinder guy, came in with his cool stump grinding robot machine and just chewed up those stumps, leaving only large craters. He was even able to remove the stumps of trees close to our fence without any damage to our stockade fence. Other contractors flat out told me to leave those trees alone since they would be too difficult to cut down without risking our fence, and forget about the stumps if we did manage to get the trees cut down! Well if Greg can stump grind safely while still close to my fence, they should be able to as well!
After Greg, the stump grinder, finished his portion, Paul came in on another Saturday and graded out our yard. It is absolutely beautiful! Benfield Tree Service did a fantastic job and Paul, the owner, is an honest, straightforward professional.

It went very well. Greg came when he said he would and gave a price for the work. He waited until the weather was more favorable so as not to tear up our lawn. He ground down the stumps to below ground level. Very good professional job.

We've used him at our old house once and our current house twice...and referred him to several people. He's prompt, courteous and a great value!
