Very well. They came in introduced themselves explained everything they were going to do. They took pictures both inside and out cleaned the chimney in 30 minutes. They followed up by taking more pictures and took the time to go over what they did, showed the pictures they took and went over any/all issues thoroughly before leaving.

I was initially worried that the additional problems referenced in the technician's report were a scam, since this industry seems to have a number of bad characters who try to scare homeowners into paying for more expensive and /or unnecessary work after cleaning the chimney. I gradually overcame my concern after considering to the company's long history of operating in Anne Arundel County, the favorable ratings of the company on Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau, the company's professionalism in the use of technology to document evidence of the problems that I would otherwise never be able to see inside the flue, and the owner's willingness to patiently review with me by phone all of the 50+ photographs in the technician's report that I had received from them by email so I could understand the condition of the chimney. After the second service call for the additional cleaning of the flue with a degreaser and the masonry repairs, the resulting photographs made by the technician showed that the condition of the flue was significantly improved and the fireplace was now safe for my tenants to use. The owner personally contacted me after the second service call to make sure I was happy with their work, another nice touch. In addition to my satisfaction, my tenants were also very pleased with the work done by Clean Sweep for several reasons: (a) both service calls were able to be scheduled quickly, even in a very busy season for this type of work; (b) the technician was meticulously clean and left no speck of dirt or soot in the house; and (c) the technician spent time showing them exactly how to use the fireplace safely. Overall, I am very pleased with Clean Sweep and definitely will use their services again.

Workers very pleasant and did job in two hours. Thought price was a little high but was told had to special order parts because of age of chimney. Has not been tested yet to see if any leakage occurs, Roof never ever leaked before and hopefully will not now, Workers cleaned up very well after finishing job. Nice appearance when job was finished. Cannot attest to quality of material. Will have to see how it holds up. Original metal chimney lasted 51 years before rust was noticed on outside.

The cost was $199 after receiving a $100 discount for returning customers. The dryer is located on the 2nd floor. He showed up on time, professional, polite. Did a very thorough job and cleaned up afterwards. Also showed pictures before and after and performed an air flow reading before and after the cleaning. After the job was complete we noticed a crimp in the transition duct that occurred when he placed the dryer back in position. Called the company and explained what happened; they were very courteous and sent someone back the very next day to install a new transition duct. I have used this company in the past and I will definitely use them again.

The previous owner of our house did not maintain his chimney. Unfortunately, we forgot to have it inspected before the purchase. I called Clean Sweep because I had used them previously at my old house, and was delighted to see that Brandon was still working there. He and his partner, TJ swept and inspected the chimney and showed me digital pictures of the damage. Apparently, there had been chimney fires that had never been dealt with, and the damper was completely ruined. Also, there were no chimney caps on top! We needed repairs inside and outside. They gave me an estimate for the repairs. They returned at a later date to begin the repairs. The repairs required 3 visits, all of which were on time, professionally and cheerfully done. During every step of the process, they showed me digital photos, and followed up by emailing the photos. When they were finished, they mailed me a warranty which requires annual inspection and chimney sweeping. We are ready to build fires this winter with confidence! I won't use anyone else!

While the cost might seem expensive, the work performed was extensive as the flue replaced was in very bad condition. The crew was very professional, polite and meticulous. The team really worked well together. They arrived when they said they would, and did not leave until the 1st task was completed. They were fantastic. I have two additional flues and fireplaces that need work--this company will be the only one I call. Very happy.

The technician, TJ, arrived within the 4 hour window given by the dispatcher. He was polite and very professional. He took his time in setting up his equipment so that my carpet and hearth would not be dirtied. During the interior camera inspection of the chimney he asked me if I wanted to watch, which I did, and he took his time in viewing and explaining what he was seeing. He also made sure the camera went all the way up the chimney until we saw daylight to ensure he had looked at every inch of it. At ground level outside he spoke to me about some "homemade" efforts my husband had made to prevent water from getting
into the chimney & advised against the material and the potential results.He then went up onto the roof to inspect the chimney and every part of the house that was in contact with it, and took pictures to verify what he was seeing. After the digital inspection, he sat with me and explained each picture. Here I would like to note that he didn't just show me a bunch of
pictures on his camera. Clean Sweep actually has its technicians take a picture of the ticket with the customer's name & address and pictures of the house from the street and as they stand in front of the chimney. I had no doubts at all that it was MY chimney he was showing me, plus he took enough of a view that I could tell it was my house in every frame. THAT was very important for me.
After the inspections he sat with me and went over every frame, explaining the immediate problems, long term problems and problems that should be addressed by other trades, like guttering. He broke the repairs down into an interior section and exterior section. He read each section to me as he had written it and explained as he was going. The young man was very thorough and very polite at all times during our discussion. The price to bring the interior of the chimney up to code was far too
high, in excess of $6000 before a 20% discount. I would presume the chimney had probably never been inspected since it
was built in the 60's so to find it wasn't up to today's code which did not.surprise me...the price nearly knocked me over. Because my husband never liked the fireplace we had never used it, thankfully, so I opted to have the waterproofing done and board the interior back up. The sweep & inspection was $244, which I guess is probably pretty standard. The exterior repairs & waterproofing was over $2000 after another 20% discount. I thought it was a little high but in truth I hadn't take the time to get other estimates.
TJ patched the cap, the flashing, chalked the crevices and put a rubberized layer of some compound on the shoulders of the
chimney where my husband's homemade attempts had caused a different kind of damage rather than preventing the water issue we were having. TJ also took pictures, as best he could, of him spraying the entire chimney with the waterproofing chemicals. I didn't have to stand guard to ensure a tradesman was doing what he was charging me to do.
Once the work was done he made sure any area he had been in was cleaned up and tidy. He gave me a copy of all the
paperwork and asked if I wanted a digital download of all the pictures he had taken sent to my email address. All in all it was a very professional & pleasant, albeit expensive, appointment. I would recommend Clean Sweep of Anne Arundel County to anyone based on the respect I was shown and the professionalism of the young man who did the work.

I have used them for years and they are very good. They are a nice company to deal with, come when they say they are going to come, and they call to remind me when they will be arriving. They clean up everything afterwards. I would recommend them to others, and they do a wonderful job.

The team of two that came out are very knowledgeable about the type of
fireplace we have and what needs to be done to bring it back into a safe
condition for use this winter.
I had cleaned and cleared the area for them. While it is a messy task,
they had the tools and equipment to keep my house clean and safe, and
when they left, no evidence that they had just swept!
They also conducted an inspection, both inside and out. We own an older
house, and there had been damage to the fireplace floor, some
cracking. This company has been good about educating us and inspecting
annually to keep us safe. So it was NOT a surprise that the time had
come to replace the floor of the firebox.

We had a chimney fire in a former residence, due to problems left by the former owner. Therefore it is very important to me to have my chimney cleaned and inspected regularly. They did a great job, were very professional, took before and after photos, and made recommendations for repairs in a very low-pressure way. This is the second time I have used their service and I plan to continue. I did not get any other price estimates, therefore I cannot tell if the price I paid was "excellent". However, I believe it was a fair price and good value for the quality of service received.

Brandon and JJ were the providers. They were excellent. Explained in detail the work required to get my fireplace so it will be safe to use this winter. Took pictures of chimney and the interior of the fireplace. The pictures were emailed to me. The estimate was received in a timely manner. I have scheduled appointments for them to complete the work first on chimney and the second item on the interior of the fireplace will be completed this fall. I am very pleased with their work and will recommend them to friends.

This is the third time that I've used this company to clean dryer vents -- once at my home and twice at rental property I own. On this most recent occasion, they cleaned the very long run of dryer vent in a condo I own. This required one guy outside standing on a very long ladder, with the other inside at the dryer running the machine with brushes attached to clear all blockages. They removed a large amount of lint from the vent, and the dryer works much better now. I plan to have them out once a year to keep the dryer vent clear.

They just cleaned the chimney and told us what the issues. They were good; however they didn?t correctly disconnect something while cleaning. So the heating system didn?t work after they left. They were responsive and the manager promised to take care of any damages when I called them. They were very professional and they showed up when they said. The estimate that they gave us was a little high. I would use them again in the future for cleaning.

He is very nice. He was very knowledgeable and laid down tarps and canvases to make sure he didn't track any sout out into the house. The vaccuum that he used was pretty loud so he asked if I had pets so that they wouldn't be around so it wouldn't scare them. He gave me a lot of recommendation on how to keep it up and when I would have to replace some of the panels in the fire box. He also went up on the roof to check things out.

The appointment was set between 8 and 12 am. Dave and Ryan the two sweepers arrived at 9:00 and promptly started to clean my fireplace chimney. One worked from the top outside and the other worked from inside the family room. They put down protective tarps and quickly cleaned the firebox and chimney liner. They used a video camera to take a look at the condition of the flue and everything was in order. Total time on site was about 30 minutes.
