It went well and they were on schedule.

Technician was punctual, professional and took the time to explain what needed to be accomplished. He worked several hours on the system, got it running in top shape. He didn't mind me looking over his shoulder and answering questions as I got a better idea of the workings of the system.

I think the price was reasonable and the person who came to my house seemed to really listen to what I was trying to accomplish.

I compared their estimate to one other company. The other company had an outrageous number of sprinkler heads (33) that didn't make sense and made it part of our meeting to speak badly of other companies. However, all along Dave from Chesapeake seemed professional and trustworthy, and their price was lower. Chesapeake's proposal of 19 sprinkler heads made much more sense. They were wiling to work with me and put the job on hold until I was able to have a landscape company grade our yard and install sod. That Landscape company ended up being a hassle to communicate with and schedule. Because of the issues with the landscape company we were not the easiest customers to work with. But all along Dave was very patient and willing to work around the landscape company's schedule. Chesapeake came to our house on at least five occasions to complete the install and work around the landscape company. But when the day of the sod install finally came, they made me a special priority to complete the job. They knew the importance of having irrigation with new sod. They were there completing the job and working around the sod installers. The entire job was not perfect, but who is? I was a little unhappy with the damage their machine did to the grass in the front yard. It had rained for a few days before they came. So their heavy machine created muddy ruts and killed the grass. Lastly, I had an issue with the placement of one of the heads. I contacted Dave and his guys came out and moved it the same day without any questions or added charges. Given the chance I would use them again and would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I was very pleased with the attention and service provided by Chesapeake Irrigation and Lighting. I needed a small job completed to add a water source for my garden. Jim responded to my request, gave me a reasonable estimate for the work, and an accurate estimate as to when he would be able to complete the job. His crew was on time, worked quickly, and left my yard as they found it. Jim even suggested additions that I hadn't thought of that improved what I had in mind and will make it easier in the future if I want to expand the system. I would highly recommend this company for any outside sprinkler system.

Very friendly, thorough and prompt service.  The Chesapeake rep who surveyed my property actually recommended a cheaper alternative to water an area of my property than I had proposed!  Big relief after dealing for years with rude and incompetent service from Hydro-Tech.

Although it was a rainy, cold day, Dave was cheerful and very friendly, explaining what he was going to do. He worked diligently and proficiently. When he was down with the replacements, he turned on the water system in order to check the angles and length of the sprays and adjusted them as needed. I came out during this time to walk around with him to see all the heads as they were working and was very happy with the results of his efforts. As I recall, Dave was here for about 3-4 hours. My husband and I are very happy with Chesapeake Irrigation and will continue to use them for all our water system needs. We highly recommend them to anyone in need of a irrigation system help.

I called Chesapeake Irrigation due to their good reviews on Angie?s List.  I had a problem with one of my valves on my irrigation system and a person named Tom showed up to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve this situation.  Tom arrived a bit earlier than identified but that wasn?t any problem for my husband and me.  After Tom performed his testing, troubleshooting and process of elimination, he found that the problem was a defective controller.  Fortunately, he had one in his truck and was able to replace it right then and there. 

Tom then tested the new controller to ensure it worked the same way the older one worked (so all the valve control numbers stayed the same as what we previously had)  and then demonstrated to us how the new controller works.  During the entire time, Tom was very professional, efficient at performing his job and friendly.  After he was done, Tom even went so far as to ask me if I locked the cellar door to the outside which I thought was very considerate of him.   In the course of troubleshooting, he had to dig up the problem valve box but before he left, he smoothed out and leveled the dirt around the valve boxes.  

My husband and I were very happy with the service provided by Tom and Chesapeake Irrigation and will definitely call them for any future needs.  It was clear to us that the irrigation system  now works better overall because the water pressure through the sprinkler heads seems  to have improved.  We highly recommend this company.

The person who quoted the work was not in communication with the company and it took some time to get Chesapeake's attention. The installation was poorly managed. After several revisits, the system was made to work properly. Our plumber was able to correct connections installed outside improperly.

This company was very responsive, on time, and professional.. Ken was the tech and he was right on it. He immediately found the leak. The price was right, and he fixed it without the need for parts.

Worked very promptly as I had to be somewhere at a certain time. The technician was courteous and professional.

They were professional from the first call to the ladies in the front office to get an estimate on the job to the after care visits to getting the system tweaked for our soil and sun levels. They worked with me on the date of installation because of timing with landscaper and the inclement weather. This was the first time the landscaper saw their work and he commented on how he was really impressed with the way that they put their drip lines in a grid and how well they were secured. After the final installation we still needed the system tweaked and Jim was more then willing to help us get the system just perfect for our new plants and sod. We look forward to working with them again when putting the irrigation system into the front yard.

The gentleman was good to deal with. He was consultative and didn't try to oversell. He tried to get me a good system which would cost half the price.

The project went very smoothly. David Underwood came to the house, reviewed the area, listened to our objectives, and provided his recommendations for installation. When we signed the contract, he estimated three weeks to order the parts and schedule the work. Three weeks later he arrived with the installation crew and they installed the lighting in one day. The next day Chesapeake called to ensure we were happy with the results. The installation crew was very professional and did a quality job to include washing down the walks to remove the mud residue from the project (it had rained the previous 24 hours). Our neighbors have told us the lighting is beautiful and adds a and quot;warmand quot; feeling to the property. Needless to say, we are very happy with the results, and highly recommend Chesapeake Irrigaton and Lighting. One of the reasons we selected Chesapeake is because they installed an irrigation system for us about 10 years ago, and have been maintaining it for us ever since.

When I had some concerns about the manner in which drip irrigation lines were installed and adjustments to existing sprinkler nozzles were made, the owner came out personally with a large team very promptly and resolved all issues.

The process went extremely well. Dave came out to meet me after work in a rain storm to do the estimate and to design the system. Instillation was delayed due to weather but once it got started it was done in two days. Dave and his team were very professional. They did everything to minimize the mess they made and limited the inconvenience as much as possible. I would come home and everything was cleaned up, you would hardly know that work was being done. I thought the price was very reasonable for the quality of the system and for the workmanship.
