Burrbenders were fantastic. I was looking for the perfect gift for my sister-in-law who is a professional chef. She counts on her knives for her livelihood and I had watched her spend many hours sharpening them herself. I bought her a gift certificate to get her whole set sharpened by Burrbenders. They worked around her schedule to ensure she would have them when she needed them. When she got them back she inspected them intensely. They were razor sharp and had perfect geometry. Now she wants to take them back there all the time. Needless to say, I found the right gift!

I contacted Burrbenders to get a quote for sharpening services. I was asked what type of instrument needed sharpening. After I described the type and quantity of knives I needed sharpened I was given a quote. Based on the quote I set-up an appointment. The owner worked with my schedule and made a convenient appointment during my lunch hour. During the appointment the owner did a great job sharpening everything in a very short amount of time. It took about 30 minutes for 5 pieces. He will give you a cost and time estimate and he is very good at keeping to a schedule. Cost was very reasonable. Owner is very personable, detail oriented and skilled at sharpening. I would definitely recommend him and I will use his service again.
