I talked to 3 land surveying outfits. Actually, one of the other companies, said, surprisingly, try Anarex Inc because their prices seem to be significantly lower than we can do. I found that kind of refreshing and they were right. We used them for the Homeowners Association. We put up a fence and we wanted to get a recent boundary survey so we put the fence up correctly. We were calling around for that and we were getting quotes for like $7000 to do the land boundary survey for our back yard and these guys did it for like $1200. So they have my highest approval. The price varies depending on the size of the particular parcel they are surveying. The other 2 registered land surveying companies, one gave me a quote that was in the $7000's to do our yard and the other one told us it's going to be very expensive but why don't you try this outfit called Anarex, because they've been outbidding us on a lot of deals. So I did and it turns out that they were significantly less expensive. I have no idea how they do it but they do it. And they're registered land surveyors in the county and it's all signed sealed and delivered. They're using something that allows them to find their starting point. I don't know if you are familiar how surveying operates but you have to find this little brass plate in the ground that's sort of the starting point for all surveying. They apparently don't have to do that, I have no idea how they do that but they did and it was significantly less expensive. They came in and not only staked it the way they usually do, but because one side of our yard was an unusually long run, they did intermittent stakes so that the guys doing the fence could.... let's put it this way, they were very accommodating. I liked the price very very much, they gave me an approximate time, we didn't have to be home of course, they got the job done in the time frame they said and they did everything exactly as they said they were going to do it. They sent me an email with the agreement and everything was to the letter of that agreement.
