First redrill failed - sand in water. Attempt to flush well failed so 2nd redial preformed and was successful.

We had lots of with Allied Well. Things probably would have been ok if our drill had been text book, but as soon as we ran into problems, we got very little help or response from out project manager. Over a month of "yes, I'm looking into it" until we escalated things with our prime contractor and management at allied. Their delays nearly cost us the project because of a strict completion deadline. Even once things moved forward, the problems didn't stop. Poor communication, lack of response, as well as saying one thing to our face and something else to the county. Even after the job was completed, we continued to have problems with paperwork when they claimed they didn't "yet" have the document completed that we asked for, but the county was able to provide it to us right away since allied had submitted it 6 weeks previously. While all components of the work was eventually completed, I would definitely *not* recommend their services to anyone. Not worth the trouble.

I can't emphasize how valuable it was to have a business that stands by their work, even after you have paid their bills! We put our house up for sale about 9 months after the new well was drilled and the buyer's agent was being unreasonable about our well. Bill from Allied came out and met with the agent and explained about how there was clay around the top of the wellhead and that the water visible was a puddle from the recent rain, not a leak from the well. He explained that Allied drills about 10,000 wells a year and stands by their work. The agent would not listen to anything we said, and we probably would not have sold the house without Bill's assurance that Allied guaranteed their work. Thank you and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a new well drilled.

These guys were amazing and professional. VERY clear communication about steps and timelines and very prompt with the work. As little disruption as possible to the neighbors (given that well drilling is a noisy and messy proposition!) and did a very good job containing the mess.

It went very smoothly. The person on the phone was very responsive and while they are very busy at this time of year, they were able to get out to our home and make the repairs and install the new pump is a little more than one hour. We are back running again. Thanks!

The drilling of wells and installation of ground loop pipes went very well. They did a good job and the workers were friendly.
However, they have left a large 50 sq ft fabric bag full of drilling mud for months in our yard. It was not explained at first that it would have to remain until the water drained out before they would remove it. Our poor neighbors had their patio flooded with mud (they did do the best they could in the winter weather to clean it up). However, several phone calls later (after being paid in full) the bag is still in the yard. They have not been on the spot to get it removed and give the excuse that they don't want to disturb our yard after it rains but there have been plenty of days to get in and get it out of here. It is now in the way of our spring landscaping project...
A better explanation upfront would have set expectations, and more attention to the customer after the fact to make it a priority to remove the material would give them an "A" rating.

On the day before we were to leave on a two week vacation our well pump died. It was a Saturday and the response from the off-hours staff was amazing. The technician and his helper arrived at our home within an hour or so of being called and worked through a thunder storm to replace the broken pump. Unfortunately that did not resolve the problem, but they returned again within a half hour of being called to reassess the problem. When we found out that a much more extensive repair was needed they promised to be at our home the day after we returned from our vacation as nothing could be done before we left. They indeed were here as promised. Fortunately they discovered that the well did not have to be re-dug and repairs were completed that day. This company and it's employee are terrific!

I called Allied Well Drilling on Friday, July 8, 2011 to inquire about having a new well drilled (our old well collapsed). I spoke with Adam and he gave me a rough estimate of what it would cost and told me that they could start work the next week. We had gotten an estimate from another company who told us that it would be 5 - 6 weeks before they could get to us. Adam was extremely helpful and patient, answering all of my questions, and he told me he would call me back on Monday morning. They called first thing Monday morning and someone came to our house on Monday afternoon to explain the contract and pick up a check for the deposit. We were told that they would bring the drilling rig in on Wednesday and time permitting would begin drilling then. They arrived on Wednesday afternoon and set the rig up in the yard, unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating and there was a thunderstorm so they left, promising to begin first thing Thursday morning. They arrived Thursday morning and began work and by Thursday evening they were finished with the drilling. A second crew arrived Friday morning to install the well pump and run the new lines to the house, install the expansion tank, and turn on the water. They were all very professional, and polite, taking the time to answer all of our questions. They cleaned up the yard as best they could (drilling a well is a messy job) and told us to call if we had any further questions or problems. I hope that we never have to have another well drilled, but if we do, I know who we will call. They were prompt, professional, courteous, and not nearly as expensive as some of the other companies that I called.

Allied contracted to drill one 450-foot well. Through no fault of their own, they ended up having to drill five wells. To put it into perspective, a 450-foot well is the equivalent of 1 and 1/2 football fields straight down. However, ground pressure resulted in the first 4 wells failing. The last one failed at about 10:00 pm on a Friday night a blew water higher than the top of our two-story house. A variance from the county allowed them to drill the fifth well to only about 220 feet. By this time, even I was convinced that they were losing money. However, the owner, Gerry Santry, instructed his men to "Get this man his well" and they did on the fifth try. The pump also failed, again through no fault of Allied, but they also resolved that problem as well. During the whole process, all of Allied's employees conducted themselves in a professional manner even under the most trying of circumstances.

Drilled well in wrong location (>25ft), in violation of county health department site plan. Health dept required me to hire a land surveyor and have plan redrawn to verify it is on my lot (hope so!). Allied would not do this, and it cost me another $1000. Allied also billed me for sediment control, which included shoveling mud at a county sediment control inspector who wanted to fine me ($2000/day) if I did not have the well co's trucks' mud cleaned off the street the same day I was notified of the problem, and if I didn't have the site stabilized over the weekend. At least the well seems to be working.

ALLIED WAS VERY HELPFUL IN GETTING OUR PLANS TOGETHER AND MET ON SITE A FEW TIMES. ALSO HELPED IN SELECTING A SITE FOR THE NEW WELL. THEN ACCORDING TO PLANS DRILLED THE WELL TO THE NEW DEPTH. WORK WAS DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER AND WE WERE PLEASED.
