We have used Fountaindale Auto Center for years and have always been very happy with the quality of service received as well as the staff.

I concur with the previous reviewer that Clarke, Doug, Brittany and the rest of the folks at Fountaindale Auto are top notch when it comes to auto repair in the Frederick/Middletown area. For years I've taken numerous vehicles to this shop and each time they've made things right (repairs if needed or routine maintenance performed). They stand behind their work and make sure the customer is satisfied. That's important today. If you are looking for honesty, integrity and a locally owned place to have your car or truck serviced, can't recommend these guys enough.

We took our car to Fountaindale in Middletown to have it Maryland inspected. Coming from another state we figured our car would need a few things to get it to pass the difficult Maryland inspection. After overlooking our car the machanic failed the car and gave us a huge list of items to fix. Included on the list were a few problems we knew about like the gas tank fillerneck leak and the air pump needing replaced. Also on the list were items we had not thought of including a cracked cyclender head, failing seatbealt, bent door hindge and failing stearingwheel. We let Fountiandale fix the mechanical problems for $1,000+ and then took our car back to the dealership where we had purchased it to fix the other problems that were model specific. At the dealership we had their mechanics overlook our car. The Dealership's machanics told us the only problems with the car were the seatbealt and door hindge. The stearingwheel had no problems and the cyclenderhead was not cracked it just had oil spilled on it from a missing oil tank cap. The mechanics cleaned off the cyclenderhead, fixed the seatbealt and door hindge. After checking off the items on the list we went back to Fountaindale were they said they would reinspect our car with no charge since we had the major problems fixed with them. They failed the car again and handed us a new list of items (aside from the origainal list) that they said were also wrong with the car. After reviewing the old list and the new list, with an added $500 worth of work, my husband was furoius. After speaking with a trusted friend who also had bad expecences with Fountaindale we took our car to another machanic in Frederick who passed our car with fling colors. I wish we would have went somewhere else to start with because we would have saved some money and had our car inspected sooner.

Truck had to be towed in to Fountaindale Auto Center. Work was started immediately and I was kept apprised of the service as needed. Very professional, and dropped the towing charge for me as this was my second trip there. They had originally fixed my transmission and advised me to install a trans cooler which I did not do, thinking they were just trying to add un-necessary cost to the repair! turns out they were correct and I should have gone with it! At least they waived the towing bill second time around!

Clark and the guys were amazing as always. I have an old car that I don't want to put much more money into before I sell it. FD Auto was able to get my part from a junk yard and cut my price in half. They also have the only 2 year warranty in the area. I don't go anywhere else as they have been my mechanics for about 6 years now. They are also always on time and wonderful. Brittany is very nice at the window, and I have already utilized the 2-year warranty once.

Prompt with estimate. Work was completed on time. Have used them in the past and have never been disappointed.
