The man is a crackpot. He disappeared years ago. I heard he moved to Florida. He was completely unreliable after the 2nd or 3rd repair. I wouldn't hire him for any repair. There are people far better.

He checked it out, suggested the solution was not something requiring opening the unit up - in fact advised not to, it seemed to be in great shape. Loose metal panel on back.

Butch was prompt, courteous, responsive and knew his stuff! He brought the correct part, and installed it properly the first time. Very knowledgeable! Would absolutely recommend calling his if you have a misbehaving appliance, especially old ones like ours.

He has come a few times for a few repairs. Our contractor dropped our front-loading washer and busted the drum. Appliance Dr. was quite clear that it could not be fixed. Contractor also dragged our refrigerator across our concrete floor and broke something underneath. Appliance Dr. was fair about the fix; we could do it if we wanted to, or have a leak (we use a towel on the floor). He fixed the washer in a rental home and came quickly and was again very fair on price. He did some repair on the refrigerator ice maker as well. Always, a bit strange, but if you can get past that, he is very fair. He showed us how to replace the ice maker ourselves to save another call.

He arrived promptly when he said he would on the next business day after I had called him. He charged only $60 to diagnose the problem and unlock the washing machine so that I could get the wet clothes out (the place we had bought the washing machine from charged $150 just to diagnose the problem). He was able to get the part he needed and returned later the same day to fix the machine. It works fine now and for less than an extended warranty would've cost! He was polite and seemed very knowledgeable.

THEY DON'T TALK ABOVE YOU OR USE TECHNICAL JARGON, AND WHAT THEY FIX STAYS FIXED, WE'VE NEVER HAD TO CALL THEM BACK OUT FOR THE SAME THING. I THINK THEIR PRICES ARE IN LINE WITH EVERYONE ELSE, SO WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THEM OVERALL.

HE IS REALLY REAL. HE IS VERY HONEST AND TELLS WHAT IS WRONG. DOES NOT TRY TO TALK YOU INTO HAVING UNNEEDED WORK DONE. HE ALWAYS DOES A GOOD JOB, AND I FEEL HIS PRICES ARE REASONABLE.
