CARPET CONSULTANTS

I called on a Tuesday and by Wednesday my new carpet was installed perfectly for my new tenant. The service was fast and at the best price (called 3 other companies also). I have also used this company for carpet cleaning and the job was superb the carpet was 5 years old and looked like new. The technicians take great pride in their work which is difficult to find. I would recommend to anyone in the market for installation and/or cleaning.

I'm quite unhappy with the service I received from this company. The carpet does not look like the color I saw from the sample book. The sample color was quite close to the existing colors in the bedrooms I was not replacing - the color of what was installed is way off. There is a huge sticky spot in the middle of my hallway, I believe from where adhesive tape was used on the carpet roll, and as a result it is attracting dirt. The seams are quite noticeable (and this was not cheap carpet - it was a mid-grade Mohawk.). I have A LOT of carpet that was left over, making me wonder if I was overcharged because they did not measure right.

The carpet cleaning was never done. The first time, it was scheduled for between 9 and 11 - they called at 8:50 and cancelled. The second time, it was again scheduled for between 9 and 11. I called at 10:50, then again at 11:30, then finally at noon I was told they had an emergency and would not make it out until later that afternoon. Needless to say I was LIVID - I spend two half days from work waiting for people who never came.

Tim, the guy who does the measuring and is a salesman, was supposed to call me beforehand and come out at 9 am. I called the company about 9:30 am. Oh, he'll be there between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. 11:30 am and no phone call. I called them again. Oh, he'll be there at 5 pm. Finally, he did show up at that time.
I was going to get a carpet that matched my carpet in the basement that came up the steps to my split foyer. I was going to have carpet put on the landing, up the steps and into the living room. Tim told me not to put carpet on the landing as it would get worn out. Therefore I did not have to have the exact carpet but something very similar which dropped my price from about $1800 to $1200.
The pad they gave me was 8 pounds. Bill's Carpet Fair wanted a lot more money and was going to give me a cheaper pad - 6 pounds.
The installers arrived at their scheduled time. They did a good job installing. But why did they measure and cut the carpet in the street, then roll it up and bring it into the house? The road is not the cleanest place there is. I asked the guy and quot;Isn't the street dirty? Suppose a car drives over it?and quot; He responded that they probably wouldn't. Granted I live on a low traffic side street, but I still did not like that.

It went great! I have used them in the past, and they are just a great company. They are very fast and efficient.

It was really nice that they were honest about what could be cleaned and what should be replaced. The appointment was quick. They got me scheduled the next day and came when they were supposed to. Both the rep who gave me the estimate and the actual service technicians were very professional. When they came to do the installation and the cleaning, they had to move some furniture and things. They were in and out, and did a good job. I've had my carpets done before, and these guys were obviously better than others I'd used. It really impressed me how high the quality their service was, even after they had my sale.
