Sherry went through the home in a way that was focused, methodical and comprehensive, and yet was able to explain everything such that it was accessible and useful. Because of those things she uncovered and revealed to us, we were in a better position in buying the house. Also, after the sale she was always available to give us guidance, being first time home buyers, with questions/issue about the house. I would use this company again.

We use this company to do our home inspection and shortly after moving into the house it rained and our basement leaked. We had several waterproofing companies come out and all of them said the same thing, it is obvious that this house has had water issues in the past. When they started pointing out the stains on the walls and discoloration it was obvious. But how was I to know what to look for, that is why you hire these companies. We are now spending $9,000 to repair the basement. I would stay away from this company. If they can't spot the obvious, who knows what else they missed.

We contacted this company on a recommendation from our real estate agent. They were on time and spent a good 3 hours looking at the property. Rather than write a review that could turn into something opinionated, I'm simply going to list the items that were missed (not noted on report) as part of the inspection.
-Ensuite basin was incorrectly plumbed, easily noticeable on visual inspection, would drain into the bottom of the vanity.-Evidence (black rot/mold on wood) of numerous leaks on the inside of the attic. Part of attic not inspected at all.-Fridge not working (how do you miss this?!)-Washer at end of life, leaking oil from gearbox on floor. -Ceilings and floor are not true, Ceiling drywall cracked/sagging in places (further evidence of leaks or other structural problem), concrete slab foundation extremely uneven.-Evidence of rodent infestation in attic space and kitchen area.-Slow drain on other sinks, caused by a nearly completely clogged main sewer line for the house.-AC unit condensate drain not properly connected, AC would drain onto floor next to furnace. They could not test the AC due to outside temperature but checking the line would have caught this.
I'm not sure if this was a problem with communication between Sherry and the guy who also helped with the inspection or something else. I can understand a few things being missed, but this inspection was so bad it was worse than useless. Without it, I may have walked around myself and noticed enough problems to pull out of the deal. With it, we got a false sense of security that has been expensive and will no doubt continue to be.
In the future, I'll be either using a combination of trusted tradespeople (Plumber, Electrician etc) or a professional engineer to do an inspection, the barrier to entry to become an inspector of this type is too low.

Sherry went through the house with a fine-toothed comb. Her inspection and report (which included photos) were detailed, and came with recommendations. She knew i was a first-time homeowner, and took the time to explain her findings. I really appreciated her work. Update, April 1, 2015: since the initial inspection, my contractor who was working on several jobs around the house found problems that should have been caught during inspection. It would not have affected the house sale, but it would have been useful to know about those problems in advance. Downgraded slightly.

Because of rain they came back on a separate day to get a more accurate mold inspection. They brought cameras and video equipment so that we could see in the septic system and were wonderful and respectful of our new house throughout the entire inspection. They took approximately 4 hours the first day to go through everything and then came back to do the mold test.
