I have used Grove for many years, and even had them replace on of my failing units. Within the past 18 months, our secondary unit started having problems and Grove came out multiple times to service the unit, explaining that it was losing refrigerant and needed to be replaced. They were always very quick to provide an estimate to replace the unit after charging it. Before replacing the unit we had a different vendor come to give a second opinion, to ensure we were informed and I am so happy that we did. We found that the unit wasn’t only running out of refrigerant, but that it was massively overcharged and that the overpressure safeties had been defeated. I’m not sure if Grove was simply negligent or if they were trying to trick us into paying for a replacement, but I can say that I won’t be using them again. The unit they replaced for us is already dead, and they are quoting us an additional $2k to repair it, putting the total cost for the unit at nearly $10k. All said I have probably paid Grove thousands of dollars and it’s impossible to tell what of that was legitimate and what of it was them running up the bill. I can tell you that at one point they made an emergency visit late at night, spent 15 minutes looking at, and cleaning my compressors, charged me $1000, and then proceeded to text me pictures of them on vacation, presumably enjoying spending the money I had paid them. While I really like Grove, I would suggest you get a second opinion regarding whatever they tell you and that you check your bill very thoroughly.

Travis Grove contacted me less than a minute after I submitted a request. He came day-of on a Friday afternoon to inspect, and quickly found the capacitor had failed. He had a replacement on hand, though the issue was the fan as well. Travis made sure to keep me informed of parts availability (fan vendor closed on weekends), and text me updates. If his arrival time changed, he made sure to let me know. The new fan is more powerful, to provide better cooling. He noticed my refrigerant pressure was low as well, and made sure to fill it up. Travis was friendly and easy to talk to. His price was very reasonable, including all parts and multiple hours of labor over two days. My system is working well and cooling better than before. All set for the summer heat!

I had problem with heater and search Angies List and they recommend GROVE & SON PLUMBING HEATING & A/C. I called this company GROVE & SON, Travis Grove came and said $75 for checking the furnace and I said ok on NOVEMBER-2-202. Travis said problem is Control Board and he does not have Control Board in his van with him but He will get the part from GOODMAN STORE tomorrow. Travis came back November-3-2020, and brought the control Board it seems to me used out of box Control Board. Travis change the Control Board and charge me $560.23. He said part and his work has warranty for one year. After 12 days my heater stop working and having the same problem. Heater was not blowing warm air. I called Travis this time his tone changed but finally came on November-12-2020. He start banging on Control Board and the rest of the system and at end he said the problem is with Pressure Switch and he will be back tomorrow at 10AM. He did not show up or call. I called him around 1 PM , his attitude completely changed and told me he is too busy to come and he will come on Friday November-20-2020 at 10 AM. He did not show or call therefore around 11:30 AM I called him. His attitude and tone gone from bad to worst. I told him the original problem did not get resolved and the labor and Circuit Board has one year warranty. He start using colorful and profanities Language and unprofessional tone and said call someone else I am too busy to come to your ******* house. By now he got $ 560.23 from my credit card and left me with defective Circuit Board and did not fix problem. Although he told me part and labor has one year warranty on November-3-2020. I am disappointed with Angies List that do not check the company like GROVE & SON Pluming heating &A/C in advance before recommend them to customer. In my opinion this person Travis does not know what he is doing and is not professional service provider. He instal defective part and try to get your part use it for another customer. Once he get his money he will not resolve your problem and use profanity language. I sincerely do not recommend to anyone to calling GROVE & SON HAVAC . TRAVIS GET YOUR MONEY BUT DOES NOT RESOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. As you can see below the receipt Travis gave me. Thank you . Immediately came out and was very helpful in diagnosing and fixing the problem. Prices are fair and reasonable.

First let me say, great customer service is hard to come by nowadays. After dealing with a broken A/C unit for a month this summer, I finally woke up one morning and decided to find some help on Angie's List. Several options came up, but when I saw that Grove & Son was located down the street from me I decided to buy local... and I am very glad I did. Travis & his assistant stopped by within the hour. They were professional, polite, personable, and very reasonable with pricing. Travis even took his time to make sure that I understood what options I had; as well as their longetivity the potential and price difference. Grove & Son Plumbing Heating & A/C will exclusively be servicing my home if I ever have a problem that's too big for me.

I was so lucky to find a real professional during the beginning of a heat wave. Last Friday, at 4AM noticed the house was hot and the thermostat reading 78 degrees. Call several vendors and the earliest appointment was on July 24. Went to Angie's List and found Grove and Son. Travis answered the phone right away and set the appointment the same day. The AC got fixed and working great. Those guys are awesome!

Grove and Son did an outstanding job first doing a general check of the unit, then a leak check, and finally refilling the refrigerant. They showed up on time and managed to get to me in only a couple of days! Travis was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing in no nonsense terms. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone that requires his services!

The team came out on short notice and was able to get our HVAC system up and running. They were able to trace a problem of a short on a wire at heat pump, then found that this had also shorted out the defrost board, which in turn fried the transformer and thermostat. Instead of giving up and telling us to get a new unit they traced all the issues. They did an amazing Job.

I had a nightmare situation with my home warranty company where I had been waiting 50+ days with no end in site for getting my AC fixed. I just needed a fan motor and capacitor but they were doing nothing. I called Grove & Son and not only did he agree to come out, but he had a couple cancellations and offered to come earlier. He ordered the parts needed, had them overnighted and in 2 days my unit was fixed and is running fantastic. Not only that but he was a friendly, professional, great conversationalist and an understanding ear. I highly recommend Grove & Son if you are looking for good, honest, reliable service with a friendly face. I will be signing up for his annual HVAC service as well.
