Everything went really well. From the initial contact, Mitch at Corwin was extremely helpful - even came out to my house or lowes a couple times to show me samples or to meet me at lowes to pick out materials before I even signed the contract. The quoted cost was extremely fair (~$7100) and would be split into 3 payments: one on signing the contract, one after plumbing was installed, and one after the job was complete. His estimate of time the project would take was the shortest by far from any of the other contractors I talked to before deciding to go with Corwin - he estimated that it would take 7 business days. The project ended up taking about twice that long, but I wasn't really upset by that since I knew that he didn't really leave much conservatism in his time estimate in case anything didn't go according to plan - for example, the inspector didn't show up in a timely manner so, they were stuck waiting for the inspector to look at the plumbing/electrical for most of the 5th day of the project before they could do anything else; but I don't really blame Corwin for that delay. All of the folks Mitch had working with him on the project (e.g., electrician, plumber) were also very professional and all of them seemed to do their best to keep the surrounding areas in the house as clean as possible given all the work they had going on. The process was very stress-free for the most part and the only big surprise throughout was that Lowes had discontinued the vanity I picked out originally, so it wasn't available in the size we needed for this smaller bathroom and I had to choose a new vanity. Overall, I'm very happy with the finished product and plan to work with Mitch at Corwin for other home improvement projects in the future, including upgrades to my master bathroom!
Description of Work: I had an unfinished rough-in for a bathroom in my basement. The project included: framing up the walls, running electrical and plumbing for a full bath, insulation, drywall, installation of a shower unit, tile floor, vanity/mirror/light install, vent fan/light install, hung new door, painted walls/ceiling/trim, as well as coordinating all the necessary permits/inspections.
