HBS Lawn And Tree Service

HBS was terrific. Harry Simpson came out to our house twice to walk the property with us, once to give us an estimate  and once to make sure he understood what we wanted. He was very professional, punctual, and pleasant. We thought his price was fair (some areas of our yard are hard to get to and he was not able to use his bucket truck, so it required extra workers). The work was done exactly as we had discussed (we weren't able to be home at the time), and he left our yard very neat and tidy. We are very happy with the way everything looks.

Very professional. Removed the tree and stump with professional crane and stump grinding equipment. Beautiful job upon completion. HBS has been excellent over the years and done great work for me. A couple of minor concerns to show I am not completely biased towards HBS being the be-all contractor for all your tree needs:
1. HBS is busy and a home business so there are times when emergency response might not be as fast as bigger companies, if responsiveness is most important then you might want to look towards other large companies.
2. HBS has grown over the years. Most of the key folks are very good and diligent. My last experience had a few workers that did not do what I expected of HBS ... not all the debris was completely picked up. This was not a deal-breaker but potentially an indication of them growing to that size where the customer begins to lose the personal feel and begins to be a number.
3. HBS cost is extremely reasonable with some services and then somewhat expensive with other services. It seems to depend on a number of factors which I haven't fully appreciated yet when comparing with other companies quotes. In general, when dealing with a company based on an insurance claim, HBS is very good and reasonable. Response is fair and that might be somewhat biased by me based on the time of year when frost inhibited some of the work and then spring thawing could have delayed the work again. Not all HBS's fault!

I had them come out and had them do my yard work for me last Friday. I would recommend them because they do a good job, they are reliable, dependable, personable and they are reasonable on price.
