KING & SON SEPTIC

Our septic tank was backing up through the inspection pipe whenever we did laundry. I had Fyock septic come out last Fall to pump the tank, but had not dug up the tank to expose the 2 hatches. The pumping that Fyock did had no effect and once again the tank was full. This time, I dug out the top of the tank and exposed the 2 hatch covers. I went to Angie's List to find septic system companies in my area (Columbia, MD) and started calling. I wanted to get the job done as soon as possible; like the next day! Some companies never even returned my call. I really don't understand that! Others wouldn't be available for weeks or, in the case of Fyock, it would be almost a month! King & Son returned my call promptly and were able to squeeze our job in the next day. The price was competitive with all of the other estimates that I received. King & Son Septic came out and did a great job. The guy doing the work back-flushed the tank several times and loosened the hard-packed material at the bottom. He made sure that everything was out before shutting down. We talked about other possible causes of the back-up while he was working. He passed along a lot of good advice for general septic system use and what to do if ours continued to have problems. He had a printout of septic system information that he left for us. I thought that was a nice touch. We were able to pay using a credit card on the spot, so we didn't have to have a bunch of cash on-hand. Overall, very professional, informative, personable and competent. This is a family business and, from what I could tell, a very good one. I will not hesitate to call upon this company again if I need their services. I give them my strongest recommendation.
