Downing Contracting Company was established in 1985. For nearly 40 years, we have been building and renovating homes in the greater Baltimore area. It's likely that we have worked in your neighborhood, and we have references available from many of our satisfied customers - going back decades. We also have a good reputation with local architects and designers. As a General Contractor, we are available for pretty much any project but specialize in medium to large home renovations and additions. We are dedicated to providing fine craftsmanship and attention to detail in every project we do and a full array of tradesmen at our disposal. We work one job at a time and don't leave until the job is complete and to the customer's satisfaction. Downing Contracting is wonderful to work with. Greg and Tom are amazingly detail oriented. Tom is the hands on and Greg takes care of the business and both were very professional and RELIABLE on this project, from start to finish! Highly recommended.

Tom is very easy to work with, they were a little higher than others, but gave value added.. 2x6 construction instead of 2x4. Were always on time and kept the work area clean.

Evaluation of porch reparis done thoroughly. Work was performed meticulously and with great care. Everything was cleaned up at jobs end. Paid entire sum for work only upon completion. Really excellent job. Would hire Tom again without reservation.
