ARBOR CARE TREE EXPERTS, INC.

Arbor crew arrived a bit late on 3.15.19, but they were polite, friendly and worked for 3 hours to cut down and remove all limbs and the trunk of our 30' dying tree. They also crushed the stump and roots, filled in the 'hole' with wood ships and cleaned up every limb, bark and chip of wood from our property, our neighbors lawn, and the street in front of our house. At our request, they saved a small piece of the tree for our daughter's fireplace. It was an unseasonably hot day, but no one complained.

Very professional. Big job (removed 2 120+ year old oaks and the stumps, plus a pine, plus removed dead wood). Worked a ten + hour day to finish the project in one day even with some unexpected obstacles. Very fair pricing. Would recommend and use again.

The workers completed the work very smoothly and did a complete clean up.

Crew was on time, professional and completed the work in 2 hours. My only issue with Arbor Care was that they wanted an additional $100 to remove the pile of mulch left over the tree stump. I thought that was high and did not include filling in the hole with top soil.

I had a tree damaged from a storm and it needed to come down. Fred came out an gave an estimate of $800 for a pretty large. He came out the next day and took the tree down.

They were very responsive and honest with their estimate. We had been working to save the oak as it had been with us our entire lives. The owner came out and looked at all our possibilities. His team would continue to evaluate the trees' health as they got into the job knowing that we hoped it would turn out that we could save the tree. The team was wonderful and very kind. They did have to take our oak down but checked at ever segment to assess the trees health. They suggested we leave the stump until we decide how to proceed. They also evaluated our maple and took out any dead wood. Although it was more removed then I had expected a representative explained why they removed what they did and how it would help the trees growth next year. They are also working with us to replace our oak and add an additional tree. The only hiccup was we did not receive notice as to when they were coming. The men who showed up were very nice and let us explain our needs and waited for us to get dressed and move cars etc. I feel the entire Arbor team cared about the trees and were not just in the business to cut them down. I look forward to working with them to ensure the health of all of our trees in the future.

Since I called on a Saturday they set up an estimate for Monday and came out exactly when they said they would be there.  Since we had been getting massive amounts of rain and storms the trees needed to go ASAP.  They were scheduled to come out that Wednesday but an emergency had come up (more than likely due to the storms we got Tuesday) and so we rescheduled for Thursday.  Thursday they showed up ready to go.  They immediately started and had to work very carefully due to the location of the trees (surrounded on all sides with a shed, garage, fence, and sun room).  They had to stop for a little while while a storm came through but went right back out as soon as the weather cleared.  In just a few hours they had both trees down and were bringing the stump grinder around to the backyard.  I had to leave for work but at that point I was fairly certain they would have the job done in less than an hour.  My only small complaint is that the larger of the two tree stumps should have been ground down further (it is barely below ground level whereas the other tree stump is completely gone).  Had I been able to stick around I would have made sure it was done to my satisfaction.  I would definitely recommend them to anyone but advise that someone be there to check that everything was done.

It went very well, much was cut in 24" length pieces and trunk in 12-18" lengths as requested. The small branches and scrap was mulched and cleaned up.

It went very well. The workers were friendly and professional. I do feel that they talked me into more trimming than I really wanted to do. On the other hand, they also climbed up further to dislodge dead branches than the estimate had called for. I would give them high marks.

Their service was good.  Their price was in the middle with some of the other quotes that I’d gotten.  Everything was on time.  They scheduled everything and planned in advance, so I could have the cars moved out of their way and that sort of thing.

They were excellent. They came, gave an estimate and then promptly started working. This is the second year I've used them. I have not compared the pricing. I think they did good work but since I have not used another firm, my information may not be so good.

Beat all estimates by 20%. Showed up on time as promised. Very professional and experienced. Did this huge job in less then 2 weeks. Simply amazing work. After they were done the owner Jim came by the house and walked the property with me making sure I was completely satisfied.

They promptly were able to remove 2 large trees from our garage following the tornado that swept through Finksburg last June.  They brought out a crane and completed the work satisfactory.  We also asked them to remove 4 other large trees that were in danger of coming down on our house before winter.  As requested,  in September they came out and cut down the 4 trees in question.  The trees were left on our yard overnight until the chipper could come the next day or 2 to remove the logs - in the meantime my neighbor mentioned he could clean them up and use them for firewood instead, so we never had them come back out to clean up the wood.

I stumbled upon Arbor Care through a web site, Discount Tree Services and called a man named Stephen for a quote.
Arbor Care was extremely competitive on cost; they were willing to go as low as needed to outbid one of their competitors, Unlimbited.  However, they did not explain that after removing the tree and grinding the stump, they would be leaving a large mound of debris.  Additionally, there were many large roots that were visible from surface that were not removed.  After calling and complaining they sent a crew out to remove them; however, they there were still several that they did not remove.  
Most disturbing was the poor cleanup job they performed.  Debris was left all over our road.  I actually had to go out and sweep up the mess myself so as not to disturb my neighbors.  Additionally, when removing the tree a lot of dirt and tree moss got onto the siding of my house.  I also had to clean up this mess.  Quite a bit of tree moss got onto the shingles of my roof.  I called a half dozen times for them to come and remove this moss as it continues to grow and spread throughout my roof.  They claim to have returned to take care of it, but nobody ever came to my property.  I even sent an email with a picture of the problem to the company and did not even receive a response.  Very very poor communication.  
In hindsight I would have paid more to have had the service done properly by another firm -  am now left with a mess of moss on my rooftop.  

They did a terrific job.

Arnie came out assesed the work and sent me a quote via email. The office contacted my neighbors to notify them of the power outage and coordinated with BGE to get the line taken down while they did the job.  They started promptly at 8 AM and were done by noon, and they hauled away all of the wood. They removed it by hand with one man climbing the tree and removing one limb at a time. Amazing. The only issue was that their stump grinder didn't fit through my rear gate, it was about an inch too wide.  They promtly removed the stump grinding from the quote and I paid the balance. I am going to have to remove the fence post and have them come back and grind the stump. I am definitely using them again.

They were courteous and respected property.  I was very nervous about this task, but once they were here a few hours, I was at complete ease.  They knew what they were doing and when i say big trees, i mean big and close to the house. One flower pot got broken. Big Deal. The house still has it's roof intact/

fast, clean and efficient.

He did the work exactly as promised. Although i didn't expect to have the oak trees cut up for me, it was nice. But he stuck to the statement of work I gave him. all in all. it was good. The only thing I didn't expect was all this mulch that I have now. I have three piles of it. I didn't expect that much. However, I put an add up on craigslist for free mulch and it's going.
