They did an excellent job. He does talk a lot. They got back to me when I called and said that I needed work to be done. They came out when they said they were going to come out. They took down the tree carefully. The tree had only one limb but that limb was really big and we had to have a tree cutter with a lift. They had the equipment for the job. They gave me an advance warning so that I could tell people to move their cars off the street. They cleaned up after they had done it except for the parts that we wanted left behind. I wanted to see if I could make a table out of part of the tree trunk and they came back and cut slices of the trunk so that I could do that. Buddy Singer had done all this sort of work before when he was in high school and was able to give me some information. He told me that the idea may not work since it was too heavy and he was right. He seemed very knowledgeable about ways to preserve trees and whether or not the tree was appropriate to preserve. He thought that the tree was going to be hollow, and we though so too, and it was hollow. He just knew what he was doing as opposed to somebody who just chops limbs off. He is a certified arborist, licensed tree expert and professional horticulturist and insured. He was really good. He is supposed to come back and do another job for us.

All of the work was performed while I was absent from the residence at work. Except for the missing tree by my cellar entrance-way, I was unaware that the company had been on my property. They returned at a later date and ground up the two tree stumps and applied the chemical spray particular to the bag bug infestation on the Colorado Blue Spruce. I thought the chemical spray application was a bit pricey but all aspects of their services were as agreed upon. Mr. Singer was very knowledgeable and offered needed advice concerning the services he was providing, I would hire him again.

I called the company in March for an estimate to prune and remove damaged and fallen white pine limbs. Buddy Singer came punctually and spent nearly an hour with me looking at what needed to be done and explaining how he would do it. He is a very talkative and affable fellow and quite willing to answer questions, give advice and share his philosophy on trees. He obviously loves trees and wants to save them when possible - I appreciated and agree with his view that a lop-sided old white pine is not ugly but has character! The work was done in April when weather was settled and dry enough for safety. (Mr. Singer had advised me that drier soil would mean less damage to my lawn from his trucks) I believe the work crew numbered four men. Mr. Singer and his partner Mr. Mitcheltree climbed the trees rather than using a cherry-picker, which minimized cost and damage from big equipment in my yard. The work went smoothly with no surprises. I did wish afterward that I had insisted that some of the pine limbs be pruned back to the main trunk as they look a bit stubby to me now, even though they have some smaller needled branches remaining on them. A fair amount of pine sap dripped on my deck and on fencing and shrubs under a couple of the trees by the house. Not sure if this would have been less of a problem if we had waited till later in the year, but that was not practical. It would have been worth covering these areas if I had realized how messy it would be. It is for this and the "stubby" limbs that I am giving them a "B" for quality. The price seems high but probably is fair; it was higher than another estimate I got, but I preferred Singer & Mitcheltree's approach to saving my trees.

He was very responsive when I called for information. He came right out to look at the site and gave me an estimate. I was very pleased with his professionalism. What I also liked about him was that he educated me a bit more about the trees. He told me what type of trees it was and gave me more instructions about the type of care that it would need. He also helped me remedy a problem and came up with a strategy for remedying the same problem in the future.

My neighbor recommended them and they are great. The prices are also great. The unique thing about them is that they did both my trees and the shrub. I had someone few years ago and they only did trees and they didn't touch the shrub. I had problems with my shrub with bugs inside the house. These guys did both which is wonderful. They come twice a year to spray a couple of trees. They are using stuff to spray that is not harmful. They have to come within the window time wherein the temperature should not increase or decrease beyond a certain degree. That is the most appropriate time for them to come and do their work. The person doing the work is so knowledgeable. He knows everything about every tree and bush. It is amazing he is a walking encyclopedia. He is very open and honest.

His prices are cheaper than a lot of the larger companies. He takes a true interest in your situation. He surveys your property and gives you suggestions.

I have probably been using them for four years. I think they are fabulous. The owners are two men. They take a lot of time with you and really explain things and what problems there may be. They are very fair and honest guys to work with. I have had them take down trees and also do some pruning work.

This was an excellent experience with professional and extremely knowledgeable tree care professionals who performed the tree removal efficiently at a reasonable price. We will have them back to treat our Spruce trees for a fungal needle cast disease later in the season.
