We heard word-of-mouth that this company did rug cleaning for rugs of any kind, not just Orientals. They were very professional and helpful when looking over our rug and drawing up a quote -- even though I'm sure they've seen much nicer pieces than ours. Rug was cleaned and ready on time, and rolled/wrapped very neatly and thoroughly. They were very up-front with us that the rug probably wouldn't get 100% clean (which never happens) but it looked a lot better and was a great freshening-up for the price. We'll gladly go back to these guys again.

It went very well.  The rug is beautiful.  The colors are rich with all the dirt gone.

It was a smooth experience from my initial telephone contact with the firm through to the putting down the pads and the shampooed rugs.
I appreciated that they could haul away the old pads.   Also, for no extra charge, they stored the cleaned rugs until our hardwood floors were refinished.
The crew who picked up and returned the rugs and pads were meticulous--careful to not damage wall coverings and furniture.
The crew was patient when laying the rugs--ensuring that they were aligned properly (and since these are antique rugs, the sides are not always "squared"--so getting them aligned did require patience!!)

While the carpets were cleaned well, the company did not completely live up to its promise to pick up and deliver the carpets. They, in fact, refused delivery and told us to come get them after being rude to my wife. I will not use them again.

We find that McDowells does very good work on both oriental and various types of indoor throw carpets. We have thrown numerous pet stain problems at them, and in virtually all cases they have been successfull in removing the stains.

THE COMPANY DID A GOOD JOB WITH OUR RUGS. WE HAD SOME URINE STAINING FROM OUR DOG, AND NEEDED EXTRA CLEANING. THE WORKERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, AND KEPT US INFORMED OF ALL PROCEDURES NECESSARY.
