Lowe's of Timonium

They helped me order some carpet samples. They're great at following up and called to let me know when the samples were in. I went in to pick up the samples today. I haven't ordered the carpet yet, but it's nice to know you can order samples from them. I give Lowe's an A

Over the past 8 years we've had Lowes of Timonium install hardwood floors, bathroom floors and cabinets, window fixtures, and kitchen countertops. It used to go well until they stopped paying commission to their staff. This job was messed up from the beginning. The wrong doors were delivered twice and the errors discovered by the subcontractors either at the store or on site. Simple installations had to be rescheduled several times until the correct doors were delivered. The job was prepaid from the beginning so Lowes had the benefit of our cash for five months. We had to nag, remind, and complain repeatedly to get what we had already paid for, and Lowes answered with weak apologies and more delays. The subcontractors were great, always punctual and professional. But by the time this job was finished, everyone was exasperated.

They did a very good job and I am very pleased.  They were very quick and did a neat job. I would work with them again.

It went very well. They also checked my pan under my washing machine to make sure it was fine.

I had spent hours on consumer reports and I wrote down what models I wanted to buy. Lowe’s had the most models that were recommended but the only thing they had in the store was the refrigerator. I bought a washer and dryer that I wasn’t intending on buying and he wasn’t willing to do a search for the one it said they had. I ended up with good appliances but this guy was just not a big-ticket salesperson. He didn’t have the grooming, he wasn’t dressed properly, he wasn’t trained properly, and he shouldn’t have been in that department. It was around 5:30 and that man told me four times that he got off at 6:00. I did not see any other people working in that area. I signed a contract, which made sense, but we had to find someone who was qualified to witness and there wasn’t anyone. He told me he would mail me the contract but it didn’t show up so I emailed the store more than once to get it. Everything is here and installed now but I felt like I was being cheated the whole time because the guy was so unprofessional. I should have been put at ease but this guy just wanted to go home. He made me feel like I was asking for extra bells and whistles when I asked about getting metal piping but I found out that it was code to have it; he should have known that. The delivery and installation were really good, it was the salesman that was horrible. I don't plan on using this branch of Lowe's again.

I was shopping for a new dishwasher at several stores. Larry at Lowe's in Timonium gave me great information, did not try to get me to spend more than I wanted to, and was very friendly and seemed to enjoy his job. I went to one other store after Lowe's, and then called Larry and told him I was on my way back to order. The delivery was scheduled, and Lowe's called the night before to confirm and give a time frame. The rep. gave me a four hour window, but said that it would probably be on the early side, which it was. The delivery men were friendly and very careful of the new floor I had just had installed. It was a very positive experience, and I will definitely consider Lowe's first when purchasing appliances and other products.
