Friendly and prompt.  Provided samples to cover me for my vacation before I could get delivery of the contacts I needed.

1st one about 2-24-15 was good, only negative is a remaining "lens edge" in view in my eye when light hits it
2nd eye approx 3-+4-15 went very wekk

Eye exam by optometrist was very good.

However, making the lenses took three tries before they were correct. My wife and daughter had similar experience.

Will go back for exam but get lenses made elsewhere

I had an excellent experience.   Was treated with respect,  friendliness, and very professional,  like very much the way I was attended to.   Will definitely keep them for all my visits and will referred my family and friends.

tExamination by Dr Gormley was excellent for me my wife and my daughter.

But the production of glasses for all three of us had similar problems.

For me, there were three attempts - wrong prescription, then 2 left

lenses then incomplete coating. For my daughter, they forgot to coat and

had to do it over. This requited sending the glasses back from another city. For my wife, they lost her first pair of frames.

Then got the prescription wrong. Finally got it right the third time.

The Katzen Eye Group responds immediately to emergencies.  I was extremely impressed that Dr. Harlan remained on site, even though it was past his time to leave, in case my retina situation needed his immediate attention.   Not only was he in contact with Dr. Williams, but he tracked me down to make sure I had a follow up exam.  Dr. Harlan recalled the details of my eye problems.  Dr. Harlan is certainly a caring and skilled doctor who puts his patients first.  I am relieved and grateful for his watchful care and the team at Katzen Eye Group.  
This is definitely the place to go for eye care.

Great!  Dr. Gormley is really nice and friendly.  She was quick, but thorough and is always kind.  She takes the time to explain things if there are questions.  The office was a bit late in getting me back to see her, but other than that, it was a good visit.

Standard check up for me. Seen by Dr Gormley who was excellent. It took 4
tries to grind my prescription correctly. My wife saw another doctor.
Her prescription was simply incorrect. She was seen by Dr Gormley who
corrected it. They then lost my wife's frames, ground her prescription
wrong and it took several trips to correct this. My daughter also went
there. Her examinations was ok. They forgot the anti-glare coating on
her glasses and had to re-do them.

Every doctor I have seen there, and I did have an emergency after surgery, they're incredible. My husband also went there because he had had cataract surgery previously and needed follow up.
I'm impressed with everyone there. My retinologist in Connecticut recommended them and I am so glad that he did.

I know this looks askew, but the key element that turned me off was the over-the-top high-pressure sales pitching after the eye exam.  I was fairly new to the process because I'd never really needed correction prior to this.  Everything was going fine through the exam up to that point when I was left for the pitch.  Nothing makes me NOT want to buy somewhere like that does, and they lost a customer.  Your priorities may vary.

I have been going her for at least 10 years along with my  daughter. My daughter and I see Dr. Baziz;. This group is great!  I've worn glasses since I was 2 years old, so we'll just say over half a century.  I've seen many providers in that time.  In that context I can say I am very pleased with the quality of the care I receive.  The corrections for my vision have been spot on -- no running back and forth to get things fixed.
The staff is very polite and I don't have any problem getting appointments.  I like their location just above the Beltway,  where they moved several years ago.  It's easy to get there and plenty of parking.
I have no hesitance in recommending Katzen to anyone needing eye care.

Diagnosis went well.  Initial prescription was too expensive (not covered by insurance).  Used new drops for one month, then switched to an effective over the counter

I purchased a Groupon for an eye exam and new glasses, as I needed new glasses and had recently moved and was looking for a new eye doctor/optometrist. I had no difficulty making the appointment. Desk staff was friendly when I arrived, and I was seen in a timely fashion. The doctor was quite personable, although I cannot remember her name (this was almost two years ago). The person who helped me select a frame and lenses was also very pleasant, although he did have a tendency to upsell--and sell hard. (I suppose that's his job, but I'm uncomfortable with people focusing too much on the profit when it comes to the medical profession.)
I couldn't see terribly well when I tried on the glasses. The woman du jour (a different person each time--big staff, I think) thought I just needed to adjust to the stronger prescription. After a couple days, I was sure that something was wrong, so I returned to Katzen. I thought perhaps the glasses were made incorrectly. The woman who checked my glasses was extremely helpful, patient, and thorough. It was finally determined that they were made correctly, so the prescription must be wrong. The doctor--who remained helpful and personable throughout--adjusted the prescription, and Katzen made my replacement glasses. I ran into a rather rude desk person on Visit #3, but I don't suppose anyone has perfect customer service. My vision with the revised prescription was much better, although I've was still not 100% happy with my vision; however, I got my last pair of glasses from another doctor for just that reason, and I still feel like my vision is just a bit "off," so I'm probably just at the age where I'll never have totally clear vision again.
Overall, I was impressed that everyone remained helpful and courteous, even though they undoubtedly lost money on me between the Groupon and the remake. I'm not sure whether I'll go back--they were a little expensive and are not that conveniently located for me--but I wouldn't discourage anyone else from trying them.

geat job, they have all the latest equipment and the Doctors and technicians are all very pleasant, helpful and professional.

It went well. The staff was patient with me, and explained everything.

Dr. Zimmerman is the best eye doctor I have seen in my 50+ years. Friendly, intelligent and in the moment, with a great sense of humor. Most importantly, she communicates exceedingly well and works to make you understand what is happening.
I wish all my doctors were as knowledgeable, professional and fun as her!
