The buying/selling of real estate can be a very daunting process and a good real estate agent can be an invaluable adviser who will steer you away from many possible problems. John communicates extremely well and knows what he is doing. I would recommend that all Angie's List members at least interview Mr. Wright when looking for a good real estate agent. I could not recommend him more.

John Wright has been my real estate agent since 2006. Recently, I purchased an investment property where John Wright once again served as my "Buyers-Agent." I cannot say enough about how fortunate I feel to have his guidance throughout the sometimes complicated process of purchasing a property. I recommend him most highly to anyone looking for an honest, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly real estate agent. Note: the $345.00 I paid at settlement was a Long & Foster fee. The typical 3% a Buyer-Agent earns at settlement is normally paid for by the Seller.

I explained to Mr. Wright what type of property I was looking to purchase, what price range I was comfortable with, and what locations I was interested in. Once that was communicated, Mr. Wright would send me several property listings meeting my criteria every few days. I would choose which properties I was interested in from the listings he sent and then make an appointment with Mr. Wright to view those properties. He would drive me to each of the properties during our viewing appointments. Typically we would see 3-4 properties each viewing appointment. After looking at properties a few times I found the property that was right for me. Together we talked and made a plan about what offer would stand a good chance of being accepted by the seller. Mr. Wright provided me with the sales contract and went through it all with me to make sure I understood everything correctly before I signed anything. The offer was accepted and a property inspection was arranged and conducted...Mr. Wright was present at the property inspection with me. Settlement took place a month after the sales contract was signed and two weeks after the home inspection took place...Mr. Wright was present at the settlement as well. The 3% commission a real estate agent typically receives was paid by the Seller of the property. I paid a $345 Long and Foster charge that was paid as part of the buyer's settlement costs. Everything went smoothly.
