Joan was very knowledgeable about the Baltimore area. However we did feel quite rushed into choosing a home because of pressure in the form of warnings about houses quickly selling. As a result we made an offer on a house that later was revealed to need a lot of work and ended up needing to find another home quickly. We also felt that Joan was directing us to homes that she had an agenda to sell (maybe higher commissions on them?) and as a result had to do much of the research ourselves and she merely took us from place to place. This was very frustrating because we did not know the area very well and had little to go one other than pictures and descriptions and this resulted in a lot of wasted time. In the end, however, Joan helped us to make a good offer in a competitive sellers market. We got the house for appraised value and in the market when we purchased, that was quite a feat! She also set up all the inspections and closing and we had to do very little.
