George, Derrick, and Casey were extraordinary. We had our entire first floor flooring replaced, new stair treads put in, and a built-in bookcase built and installed. They showed extreme care with each and every detail. We met with several people to get estimates. The estimate from Greenleaf was a bit higher, HOWEVER, they produced a much more sensible scope of work and didn't look for imprudent short cuts. In fact, one reason the estimate was slightly higher was their recommendation to add insulation below the flooring. The original (100 yr old floor) had no subfloor and no insulation. One company suggested they simply pound new floors in over the old ones creating a problem down the line! Greenleaf pulled up the old floors, made sure the joists were in good shape and the new subfloor was level, and then installed the new floor. I don't think we've ever worked with such professional, kind, and excellent workmen. They made sure we were satisfied at each and every stage. Moreover, they made sure we could use our kitchen each night when they finished, putting in temporary flooring if need be, and we could get upstairs each night. In short, despite the size and scope of the project, they worked around us. This did not cost us more, it was all part of the contract and their excellent service. I am shocked that an earlier client was so dissatisfied. If we ever need more work, we will call Greenleaf in a heartbeat.

The date and the time came and no one showed up. I called several hours later to find out why no one had showed up. I was told another person was supposed to contact me and establish a time to come out. This, of course, did not happen. My frustration comes from the fact that there was no communication between me and the contractor to even find out if this third party contacted me for this meeting. As a result, time had been wasted.

We love old homes, and therefore have had many previous remodeling projects in Baltimore and in other cities where we have lived. So, we can't say enough good things about George Brown and Greenleaf Remodeling. George is a professional who uses cutting edge technology, has a creative mind, and is easy to work with. We started with a small project, repairing a bedroom ceiling from a leak, saw George's talents and trustworthiness and later moved to the bathroom project. George had explained to us that the bathroom had been leaking into the bedroom. Greenleaf Remodeling performed quality work, came on schedule, and did an excellent job. They paid attention to the smallest detail. We have a very shy cat and they were always mindful of her location, so as not to close her into a small area. She has a tendency to hide! George prepared a detailed, accurate bid. He had creative ideas for the project, but was always mindful of our ideas as well. He used a "green" approach, reusing solid original lumber whenever possible. The workers arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves every night, often unusual in this business. There was a minimum of clutter during the job. George kept in close contact with us so we would know who would be coming and when to expect them. The suppliers he uses were accommodating with their schedules, helpful, and easy to work with as well. Now we're ready to move on to the next bathroom with George!

This company was recommended by two friends who had used it. The contractor, George, was wonderful to work with; very responsive to all questions, responsible, timely and neat. His team were also easy to work with, very pleasant and pretty meticulous about their work. It was evident that this team cares about quality and they don't cut corners. George was open to all my design ideas and was glad to incorporate as much "green" technology as possible. The bathroom turned out beautiful and the work was definitely above-average; close to excellent as far as I can tell. Highly recommended.

I was worried about bringing a general contractor in to renovate my house because I had a tight budget to work with and I've heard a lot of horror stories about how contractors take advantage of homeowners. They were very honest,high quality craftsmen who were very patient and helped me not only to stay within my budget, but also educate me as to what was being done step by step. I interviewed three other contractors and would definately recommend them above anyone else I've worked with. The project was also finished on schedule just in time for me to move back into my house.
