They were impressive to watch. Fast and professional; dropping the tree exactly as planned. They left the yard clean and swept. Just a perfect job at a good price.

This company was referred to me by my nephew, who had a large tree removed by this company.  Initially, I had some difficulty getting in touch with the salesperson, and we played "phone tag" for several days.  When we finally spoke on the phone, the salesperson was professional and friendly, and agreed to meet with me the same day.  At our first meeting, we discussed the services to be performed, and he gave me a very reasonable estimate, so we set a date for the service.  He also informed me at that time the workers were covered by Workmen's Compensation, and offered to show me their license and insurance certificate.
When the crew arrived, they began working immediately.  The entire crew were polite and professional, taking care not to damage any part of my property and making sure all trimmed wood was removed from the yard.  They even cleaned up the area around their wood chipper where some leaves and wood chips fell on the ground.
I am extremely pleased with the work done by American Tree Service, and will use them again.

This is a fantastic company to do business with. Great price, courteous service and everything done when they said it would be. Professional, fast workers who cleaned up everything when they were done. My yard looks great and is ready for new plantings. I had a very large pine tree damaged from ice. They removed that tree and ground the stump along with 4 other old stumps on my property. The lawn was smoothed over and any unsightly debris removed. This is the only company I will use in the future. I am recommending them to all my neighbors. Give them a call!

My beautiful privacy wall of about 28 arborvitae was decimated in the heavy snows this past winter. One tree was lying flat on the ground with its root ball popped up. Several others were leaning, again with root b**** partially popped up. Some were damaged heavily with broken limbs. Others were leaning less severely and/or had drooping branches from the snow. Different companies told me different things. One company wanted to cut them all down, even the undamaged ones. Another wanted to stake them all up, even the one lying flat. Some commented that when the root ball pops up it breaks a lot of the roots underground and you can stake them up for a whole year and when you finally take the ropes off they'll still fall over. This seemed to make sense and since I heard it from more than one person, I decided to go with that theory. So that's why I had some trees removed and others staked up because they were leaning a little. When Stephan (the owner) topped the trees, some by as much as 6 or 7 feet, he made a point of trying to round them the best that he could so it wouldn't look like somebody just took a buzz saw and cut them straight across. He also kept them very even in height so they still look pretty attractive. Stephan and his crew of three men spent one entire day working on the trees and Stephan came back two days later for an hour or so to grind the stumps out, since the ground needed to dry out a little. Plus, I had some broken branches hanging out of a weeping willow that they took down and removed for me and they trimmed back a very overgrown bush for me that wasn't in the original agreement. I gave them a fair tip for their efforts. All in all, the work was done very professionally, I was consulted several times on how I wanted certain things done rather than them just going ahead and making assumptions, everyone was very polite and helpful and they made an extra effort to clean things up nicely. I was happy with their service.
