Palmer House Upholsterers

Mr. Palmer took $2,500 from me for this job on January 25, 2018. He only did one of four pieces of furniture, refuses to refund my money and it now under investigation by Wells Fargo for large claim fraud. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NOT PATRONIZE THIS MERCHANT..

Brought in the old cushions so that the size could be duplicated, we picked the fabric on June 1 and was told it would be ready in about 4 weeks. After 4 weeks I called and was told that one of the fabrics was back-ordered and would be in in about 2 weeks; after another 2 weeks I called and was told that they needed more time; after anther 2 weeks I called and was told that it would be ready on Thursday 8/16; on 8/16 I called and was told they needed another couple of weeks....... so it has now been 10 weeks, no cushions. Finally got the cushions, quality fine but the wait was too long and too frustrating.

Not the shortest turn around time but worth the wait! He did a beautiful job on the piece (refinishing an old family arm chair almost completely destroyed!

Excellent - quality was great and the seats and backrests are even more comfortable than the original.

It went great. The chair was reupholstered and refinished and looks fantastic. I would definitely recommend Palmer House.

The most difficult part was deciding on color and fabric . Mr. Palmer did allow me to bring color swatches home to match with sofa which made the process easier. Once the fabric was ordered and received the chairs were completed in a very timely manner. The entire process took just about three weeks. We have used Mr. Palmer on two previous occasions so expected an excellent result which is what he delivered.

Great!!! He had oodles of fabrics to choose from including remnants and answered my questions about materials and staining and what was the best option for my concerns. Mr Palmer was friendly and easy to work with. It took him only one day to cover them as I chose a remnant to keep the cost down. The seats are gorgeous and I was quite impressed. If I need any other work I would recommend him and use him again. He saved a piece of the material for me to use in the future for purchasing matching items for my table like placemats etc. This is my first time using a vendor recommended off Angie's List and I got a winner!!!

It was excellent. Mr. Palmer was very helpful with his samples of fabric and his work is excellent. He started from scratch and put new everything on the chair and sofa. He has good taste.

sent an angies list email. He called within a day. I brought the cusions to his place of business. He suggested using in stock remnants would be cheaper than buying new stock. Picked out one I liked. Estimated time frame was 3 weeks. I asked if he could do it quicker. He finished in 8 days. Qulity of the material and workmanship is excellent. would definatly use him again.

Mr. Palmer brought sample fabric selections to the house, answered all our questions, gave advice when asked what he thought. He saw the furniture to be reupholstered and wrote contract.

I found him on Angie's List. My chair is a small armed chair with very ornate legs, arm ends and apron. I took the chair over and picked my fabric from mountains of samples. There's not a lot of ambiance or salesmanship involved. Mr. Palmer just asked what I wanted him to do. Once I picked my fabric he gave me the price of $850. I was shocked! He said the fabric was expensive. (It was chenille.) This chair didn't require more than 2 1/2 yards of material. I really love this chair from my father's house, so I decided to go ahead and have it renewed properly. He said he would completely redo the springs, stuffing, and touch up the wood. He said it would be done in 6 weeks. It took seven. No big deal. I paid for it when I picked it up. He took my charge card when I dropped it off for the 1/3 down payment, but he never charged it. The chair looks very good and the seat is nice and firm. The wood looks great.

Wonderful, friendly service. Fair price. Stuffed the cushions really firm so that they feel wonderful. Very satisfied.
