Installation went fine. Now they are trying to void my warranty because they don't want to replace a window that cracked. Nothing hit the window or similar just broke, but they are refusing to replace it. DO NOT use this company if you think the warranty will cover you.

Vytex windows installed 18 replacement windows in my home. The contract was with Capital Remodeling, but the actual measuring, manufacture and installation was Vytex windows. I am extremely happy with the entire experience. The windows look great. The gentleman who came to measure, was prompt, professional and very helpful. The installers were terrific. Very efficient, polite and helpful. They cleaned up totally after the installation and were respectful of my home. I could not be more pleased with the process. The office communicated with me at every step, including one window which needed to be switched out after the initial installation. The office followed up on the replacement window promptly and scheduled the installation. The replacement window was installed in no time. The entire experience with Vytex has been very positive from the office, to the measurement to the installation. I would highly recommend Vytex windows.

We bought our home in 2007. The original owner replaced all of the windows in 1998 with Vytex windows installed by UniCorp. These were double hung, double pane, top of the line windows at the time. For the past several years, we had been noticing that he thick grey rubber gasket between the inner and outer glass panes on many of the windows was starting to crack and expand. Last year (2012), I happened to run across paperwork the original owner had given me with purchase of the house. 99% of it was useless information, but there was a receipt of the original bill of sale for the windows (which cost $6,000 back in 1998). I noticed that the windows came with a lifetime, transferrable warranty. I thought it was a 1 in a million long shot, but I called Vytex to inquire about he warranty. Keep in mind, this was 14 years after the installation and I was not the owner of the house who had purchased the windows. Nonetheless, they found the 14 year old record and sent a crew out to my house to inspect the windows.
The technician found that indeed, the rubber gasket was cracked in 13 of the 17 sets of double hung windows and he recommended that they needed to be replaced. The technician told me that the windows in 1998 did not have the rigorous UV protection the current windows possess, which led to heating and subsequent cracking of the rubber gasket. He took detailed measurments and told me that everything was covered under the original lifetime warranty. A week later, a crew returned and replaced virtually every window in the house. The only cost to me was $135. I don't know if it was a stocking fee, a fuel surcharge, or whatever. It doesn't matter. I paid $135 for essentially $10,000 (2012 prices) of new windows.
It blows my mind that with all of the scammers and dishonest contractors out there, that this company would stand behind their warranty for a window made 14 years ago and sold to a different owner. It's been a year since the replacement and the windows look beautiful. My cooling bills have also decreased a bit...I guess the UV protection is not only good for the rubber gasket, but also helps keep the house cool. I obviously won't need new window for a long time, but I know who I will go to when that time comes. In the meantime, I will tell anyone I can about this great company.

The work went very well, workers got to the house on time, worked very cleanly and did a incredible job installing the windows. You would have never known they were there. Their quality of work was exceptional and is the quality of the Vytex window.

It is very easy to deal with this company. They took a while to make the window, but it was a made to order window. The install was quick and easy, and they were done with in a few hours and installed trim back. All we had to do is paint the new trim on the inside of the window.
