We assign a moving consultant for each customer who will provide a written estimate, discuss and clarify the details of the estimate, address any questions you may have regarding the move, and provide support throughout the process. On both move out day, and move in day, the temperature was near 100. All four members of the crew worked non-stop despite the heat. They protected all of our furniture, which includes many antiques, perfectly and everything was delivered in perfect condition. Final cost for the move was lower then the estimate by several humdred dollars.

It went very well. The movers were early, efficient, professional, clean and courteous. The minimum 4-hour charge of $600 is quite reasonable, in spite of the fact that the move was done in 2-1/2 hours.

Both moves were flawless. The crew was excellent-- professional, friendly, flexible, helpful, a pleasure to work with in every way. They worked hard, were fast, and everything was done just right. Metropolitan may be more expensive than other movers, but they are worth it! Besides, both moves were completed for less than the estimated cost.

The Movers carefully wrapped every piece of furniture, every lamp, every mattress. All of our belongings arrived in our new home in perfect condition. We would certainly hire Metropolitan Movers again, and we readily recommend them to friends who are facing a move.

We could not have asked for the move to go any smoother. We were a little concerned about the rain, but the movers handled everything very professionally, making sure no items got wet or ruined. The loading and unloading went quickly with no hiccups or delays. We would definitely use Metropolitan Movers again.

Metropolitan Moving and Storage did a terrific job for us in all aspects of the move. They were the least expensive of the Top-Rated Angie's List Movers that we received estimates from. The entire Metropolitan Team was very customer service oriented and accommodated our schedule. All members of the team were very professional, friendly and arrived early both days for packing an moving. They took great care with our belongings, adeptly handled bulky/heavy furniture, appliances and equipment despite limited clearance on stairs and door openings. They were particularly sensitive to the fact we were moving into a new home and went the extra mile to assure they did not ding doors, walls or track dirt/mud into the house. We did not have any damages. I would definitely recommend Metropolitan Moving & Storage.

The team -- both in the office and on the day of the move -- were unfailingly professional, friendly, efficient, and helpful. As far as we can tell, nothing got a scratch. Metropolitan did an excellent job! They arrived promptly as scheduled and quickly and efficiently packed up our house and moved our belongings to our new condo, as well as to a storage unit. The condo is on the third floor with no elevator, but the Metropolitan crew carried everything up with ease. Highly recommend them!

Great! From the initial estimate to unloading at our new place, everything went very smoothly. Everyone we dealt with was knowledgeable, professional, honest and very helpful, providing expert guidance at each step of the process. They responded quickly to our questions, delivered packing supplies to our house in advance of the move, arrived on time on the day of the move with the right equipment and crew (5 movers, 2 trucks--we had belongings going to 2 different destinations), and completed our move in under 8 hours. Everything arrived safe and sound and our furniture was set up and arranged exactly as we requested. The next morning, a 2-man crew called us and arranged to come by that day to repair some minor damage to a curtain rod that happened during the move in process. After making the fix, they asked if we were satisfied with the placement of our furniture and very happily rearranged several heavy pieces that we asked them to move to create more space in our living room. The estimate they gave us for the job was neither the highest nor the lowest, but it was very competitive. There were no hidden charges and, as the estimator predicted, they finished the job well under the "not to exceed" time limit which lowered the overall cost. We did hire 2 of their movers to help us pack up our kitchen and a number of paintings and other fragile items the day before the move. It was well worth the cost. They were excellent and fast. What they did in 3 hours most likely would have taken us 2 days to do and saved us a lot of stress. We would definitely recommend Metropolitan Movers and would use them again ourselves without reservation. They really know what they are doing.

They were friendly, yet professional and knew what they were doing. I chose this company because it was price competitive and only books one job per day for the employed movers so that they are not rushed (but they were super fast and efficient). I would recommend them for all moving needs.

So we do our best to make sure each crew is only doing one job per day which is the best way to avoid a customer being missed which unfortunately happens very frequently in our industry. In our 15 year history we have yet to have an issue with overbooking our schedule and we don't plan on that occurring anytime soon. Movers were efficient. They took great care of my belongings. Communication was great. The only complaint I had was at the end of my move they charged me $500 more than original estimate.
