We assign a moving consultant for each customer who will provide a written estimate, discuss and clarify the details of the estimate, address any questions you may have regarding the move, and provide support throughout the process. I had a really great experience with Metropolitan Moving & Storage. Kathleen answered all my questions ahead of time and I felt very well prepared for my move. The movers were very fast and professional—they were probably only in my old place for an hour and my new place for an hour too, and that was with packing. They fit their truck in the parking spot even though a car was in my permitted area. They also kindly moved an outdoor couch that was already in the new place to a different spot. The amount I paid was much less than I was quoted, I think because I'd done a good amount of work beforehand, but that was a pleasant surprise. Nothing was damaged or missing. Highly recommend Metropolitan Moving!

Working with Metropolitan Moving made a stressful time easier. Lena coordinated the logistics for the move, and was so easy to work with ... she was helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. The crew of 3 showed up on time with plenty of packing materials for lamps, china and furniture. They safely and securely packed up everything and were very quick and efficient. They also took apart the bed frame and reassembled it on the other end, which was great. I would definitely use them again, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mover in the DC area

Moving is a traumatic event but Metropolitan makes it better. They are efficient, pleasant, cooperative and do a fantastic job of taking care of your possessions. Things are packed very careful, all furniture is wrapped so there are no scratches, dents when they reach the other end. We have moved several times and never had such careful transfer off our possessions. We have some antique family pieces and they arrived in perfect condition. The crew we had was Charlie, Nelson, Victor & Oscar and they couldn't have been more efficient or nicer. We strongly recommend this company and crew. We don't plan on moving again but if we did, there would be no other company we would use.

The movers did an awesome job. The price was very fair and was not far off the original quote. The only reason it differed from the original quote is that I called and made alterations to what I needed moved. The workers did an amazing job, moving everything quickly and efficiently. Everything was in great condition upon arrival. I would definitely hire this company again for any move. They even showed up early, so we could get it done faster.

A friend had recommended Metropolitan, telling us they'd had a great experience from start to finish. And as advertised, everything was absolutely perfect. Cindy took our call and set up the estimate, she was very calm and reassuring. Danny arrived exactly on time the next day, took time to understand our situation, offered excellent suggestions. Lena helped us confirm the price and logistics. The three movers who came to our house were such pros ... arrived right on time, it was amazing to see how smartly and quickly and safely they packed up boxes and furniture. They were kind, too, not rushing us, and then they helped us get all our items properly placed in the new location. From start to finish, the process was a breeze, thanks to Metropolitan ... we were in good hands the whole way!

From start to finish - this company knows how to provide high quality customer service and highly skilled staff. I have never used professional movers before nor had I ever helped downsize and relocate a home. Our experience moving my parents from Potomac, MD to Newport News, Virginia was exceptionally smooth and efficient. The moving estimate was accurate, the packing materials provided were exactly what we needed, and everything followed the timeline we were promised. The moving team the day of the move were so very kind and thorough. They walked the whole house with me to be sure they were clear about what their task was and patiently worked around the medical equipment we had in the house for my dad. The next day, the team was there to unload the truck just as they promised at the agreed upon time. It was wonderful to see a familiar face with my parent's belongings! They were efficient and patient as we figured out what went where in the new home. Our "organizer" told us this was the BEST move she'd experienced in the last year and she does this for a living so she has LOTS of experience. I highly recommend Metropolitan Moving and Storage!
