Our move went very well. We packed a lot, but needed help finishing when moving day came - and we got it. Mario and his team were efficient, helpful, and so nice! We appreciated that they were so easy to work with in such a stressful time for our family. Everything arrived in good condition. We highly recommend this company.

A friend had recommended Metropolitan, telling us they'd had a great experience from start to finish. And as advertised, everything was absolutely perfect. Cindy took our call and set up the estimate, she was very calm and reassuring. Danny arrived exactly on time the next day, took time to understand our situation, offered excellent suggestions. Lena helped us confirm the price and logistics. The three movers who came to our house were such pros ... arrived right on time, it was amazing to see how smartly and quickly and safely they packed up boxes and furniture. They were kind, too, not rushing us, and then they helped us get all our items properly placed in the new location. From start to finish, the process was a breeze, thanks to Metropolitan ... we were in good hands the whole way!

Every part of this move was flawless. Setting up the estimate was easy, the office was communicative and responsive, and the movers were on time, careful with the furniture, and seemed like nice guys. Would definitely recommend them. 10/10

From start to finish - this company knows how to provide high quality customer service and highly skilled staff. I have never used professional movers before nor had I ever helped downsize and relocate a home. Our experience moving my parents from Potomac, MD to Newport News, Virginia was exceptionally smooth and efficient. The moving estimate was accurate, the packing materials provided were exactly what we needed, and everything followed the timeline we were promised. The moving team the day of the move were so very kind and thorough. They walked the whole house with me to be sure they were clear about what their task was and patiently worked around the medical equipment we had in the house for my dad. The next day, the team was there to unload the truck just as they promised at the agreed upon time. It was wonderful to see a familiar face with my parent's belongings! They were efficient and patient as we figured out what went where in the new home. Our "organizer" told us this was the BEST move she'd experienced in the last year and she does this for a living so she has LOTS of experience. I highly recommend Metropolitan Moving and Storage!

The movers were awesome! They moved our stuff from two different places in two different states. They showed up on time, knew exactly what needed to get done, and finished up quickly. They made it easy and stress-free! We will be using them again for another move in late summer 2022! Highly recommend them!!

Outstanding. I don’t write reviews and I don’t consider myself to be easily impressed, but this service merits a review. As a military family we have moved a lot. On occasion we have had to use our own movers as well, so I feel as though I know a bit about moving. There is almost always something that could have been done better. The contacts at the office could have been nicer and more helpful. The estimator could have been more pleasant and accurate. The movers could have done a better job and faster. I can honestly say that Metropolitan aced every aspect. The office staff are friendly and competent. The estimator was on time, friendly, and provided a wealth of information. MOST importantly the movers were 2 of the hardest working guys I’ve had the pleasure to work with in some time. They were on time. They began working immediately. They didn’t take a break for 4 hours during which they kept a tempo was frankly impressive. Not only did they work hard, they treated our possessions as I would. I’m not looking to move anytime soon, but I will absolutely use Metropolitan again.

A little background of us, we are a military family that's had 13 moves under our belt. This move is our first one out of the military and by far our best. Metropolitan moving company sent an amazing team out yesterday and it couldn't be any smoother. All the guys took extreme care of our items and left no marks on the house, very courteous and professional. The initial quote scared us a bit but Eddie thoroughly explained the reason and we decided on hiring them. At the end because the team was so efficient the amount was under the initial quote and you do get what you pay for with Metropolitan Moving & Storage. I'd recommend this company to anyone that's moving.

This is my third move with Metropolitan Movers and they raise the bar every time. Metropolitan Movers are truly professional movers. They were incredibly efficient, careful and strategic with every part of the move. Their experience is very evident. They are so quick yet extremely careful. The moving team members were all professional, courteous and respectful. Our new neighbors were shocked by how quickly the movers unpacked into a 6 bedroom home. Metropolitan Movers was able to accomplish this remarkable speed by planning, providing an extra truck in case we needed it, and staffing the right number of movers on our team. We hope we are in our "forever" home but I have no doubt that we would use Metropolitan Movers a fourth (and fifth) time if needed.

Fantastic experience. They were able to accommodate my dates on a relatively short notice (3 weeks). The guys that packed us up worked non stop for 7+ hours. Everything was wrapped very securely. Our stuff went into storage for several months. When it came time for delivery to another state we were able to get the dates we wanted. 4 guys came with two trucks and again, they worked 7 hours straight! They unwrapped and set everything up where we wanted and hauled away the trash. Not the cheapest movers in the book but I don't think there is any more professional or accommodating. I highly recommend this company!

Mario and his crew were amazing! Arrived on time and proceeded to pack those items we had agreed would be packed. All furniture was shrink-wrapped and then wrapped in blankets. It was particularly challenging as the building only has one passenger elevator...no freight elevator and no loading dock. The crew was incredibly polite and professional and worked very hard in the August heat. I would hire again in a minute!
