The service was punctual, and the job was quite satisfactory. The workers were friendly and made every effort to accommodate our schedules. The insulation and Tyvek were inspected and repaired where necessary. The house is over 30 years old, and some on-the-spot repairs had to be made, especially around doors and windows, for which we were not charged.  We will use Carterworx again when we remodel our house.

After having them redo my family room in early 2013, I was so pleased that I immediately engaged them to redo my kitchen.
The kitchen, including cabinets, appliances, fixtures - basically everything, was from the 1960s and due to the fostering of many dogs over the years, in bad shape.
Everything is now new and modern. The custom cabinets in a creamy mushroom set off the quartz countertops and backsplashes. Tim, the owner, picked out the perfect piece of quartz to tie in the colors I had chosen. The stainless steel appliances fit perfectly into the scheme and I even have a touch operated faucet for my new double sink.
The attached eat-in area was also redone with a wonderful paint job which complements the cabinet color.
Throughout the whole project, as with the family room redo, the entire crew, as well as the subcontractors were easy and pleasant to deal with. My feeling was that their main job was to please me, and they really did. There was no detail too small for them to consider and address. I was encouraged to be a full participant in the decisions.
I am currently working with Carterworx to create a wall of shelving to surround the fireplace. Tim's knowledge, suggestions and flexibility are again proving invaluable in creating the look I want.

Tim Carter is punctual and very communicative about ideas, options, and availability. I really appreciate that he's willing to discuss options for flexing the budget (for instance when we had our bookshelves done he gave me two different quotes based on who did the painting). He's easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and will spend a very, very long time looking over each project and discussing options and ideas with me. The quality of the company's work has been impeccable, so we have rehired him for about four projects now over the past year and a half, ranging from $7K to $300.
Each time I have had ZERO complaints. His prices are a little on the high side, but it's because he pays his workers (all US citizens) health insurance which many companies don't do. Besides you get what you pay for!

They were recommended to us by our realtor. They gave us a quote before starting the work. They sent a team out to do the project. They did a good job at a fair price.

Denny estimated the cost then made repairs exactly as estimated. Installers added additional finishing touches proactively. We are very satisfied with their work.

Work started on time, but the old siding was stripped and the house left bare for weeks. After the work was done there was a LONG punch list, that Carter was more than happy to take care of. Unfortunately after we had settled we kept finding more things wrong, the worst being live exposed electrical wires in our attic that we were lucky didn't start a fire. A year later our siding has come loose from the addition, the roof started leaking, and there was rotten structural wood that was just covered up. His mason is one of the best. He used the best materials, but there is no craftsmanship to match the total price you pay.
Response from CarterWorx LLC
"This is the first time that I have heard of any problems with this job. It's hard to fix what you don't know about. The siding was a special order and arrived after the windows. Winter was fast approaching (work was completed by mid December) so I suggested that we proceed with the windows and finish with the siding as soon as it arrived; the customer agreed. We stripped back enough of the old siding to properly install and flash the new windows, and we kept their home water tight during this process. There was indeed a LONG punch list - much longer than usual. I believe this was a combination of an extremely critical customer and an old home which has not had any professional attention in more than 60 years. We did take care of all the items on the LONG punch list; however, we never worked on the electrical wiring in this house and at no time were we in their attic. All of our work was on the exterior of the house. The home owner was attempting to complete several home improvement projects simultaneously which also included kitchen and bathroom remodels and building a shed. In their attempts to save money, they chose NOT to hire any other licensed companies. It is unfortunate that they had problems in these other work areas. It is also unfortunate that they would have chosen to complain about CarterWorx HERE, less than one year later, instead of having us repair our work for free. CarterWorx's standard warranty is for 2 years, and I would have gladly taken care of any repairs we were responsible for if I had been notified. Note: This house is on my weekly route to suppliers, and I have not noticed missing siding or shingles on the front or sides of the house. The home owner did present a concern about rotten wood but there were two issues. One: Replace/repair of rotten wood is always an additional charge according to our standard contract. Two: The couple could not decide where exactly this rotten wood was located. I was there twice to verify the location so that it could be repaired, but they ultimately dismissed this concern and concluded that they would repair it themselves to save money. I have been in business since 1985 and this appears to be a case of buyers remorse by a young family just starting out. My men are seasoned Craftsman with over 100 years combined experience. I have over 2,000 customers solely from verbal referals. In the past, I have asked some of my customers if they would rate CarterWorx as Angie's List members. Their response was, "I don't pay for Angie's List, I have you." How can I argue with that. I was very surprised to see this negative review. I will be checking my feedback more often in the future."

Tim has worked for us over the years on several projects. He is attentive to details and communicative by phone and email. Although his prices are a bit high, there is no comparison in terms of quality of work. This is a true example of you get what you pay for. He is clean, courteous, and smart. He listens well. His team of workers are the same way.
