Valor Roofing and Exteriors installed a new roof on my home just in time for the harsh winter ahead. Valor Roofing is not only super easy to work with, the work was completed in one day. I highly recommend them for your next project. Valor went above and beyond what I expected and the new roof is beautiful! The choice is clear if you have a need because Valor also gives back to our deserving Veterans with The "Raise a Roof" Program. Four times a year a deserving Veteran is selected to receive a new roof at no charge. I highly recommend Valor Roofing!

Valor was very professional and made the whole experience very easy! The materials for the roof are excellent quality and we liked that the people that do the install are Valor employees. They covered the entire outside of our house with tarps when removing the old roof, which I haven't seen any other company in the neighborhood do. The only thing that rubbed us the wrong way was that they have a signing discount--so if you decide to go with them and sign a contract on the spot when they come over, there's a significant discount. I don't like this approach at all--but they happened to be the last company we had out and it was a great price for the roof we received.

Valor is exceptional in all categories! Let me start by saying our experience was wonderful. Valor gives a discount to first responders and military. My husband is a retired police officer and we received a discount. Also we learned that Valor provides free roofing I believe once a month for a veteran in need. With that said, all of the folks at Valor (in the office and the laborers) were thoughtful, reliable, caring and extremely efficient. There were no surprises. Everything went as we were told it would — I can’t recall when any work on our home has ever gone that smoothly — all the way from the initial meeting, delivery of materials, to the work performed. The rep who met with us was very knowledgeable in roofing with a lot of experience and really helped us with our questions and concerns and worked with us on the price. Valor completed the project in one day, no cutting corners. And their clean up was awesome. They left the yard spotless! We were very pleased with the price and quality, and we are very happy with our new roof! Very pleased with my experience! Very professional, understood ahead of time that I was gathering numerous estimates and did not want "the sell". After choosing Valor to complete the job, scheduling was seamless. They finished a day early to my surprise. When more rot was found on my roof that would require additional work, they notified me immediately so there were no surprises. Very pleased with overall job!

My mother had Valor give them an estimate on 2/28 and they signed the contract. On Monday, 3/2, my mother told Chris to hold off on ordering materials or starting the job as they wanted to check with their insurance company. Chris gave my mother a hard time about the company needing this job to make their numbers for the month. On Tues, 3/3 shingles should up at the house. My mother called again and Valor stated they needed the material to do the job. My mother again told them that she was waiting for the insurance company and they might not do the job. Valor removed the materials. My mother called Valor again to cancel the job. She sent the cancellation on 3/5 and Valor claims they never got it. In the meantime, Valor got paid for the job by the lender EVEN THOUGH THE JOB HAS NEVER BEEN STARTED NOR COMPLETED!! Valor is using the lender's money without providing the service. The lender is sending my mother notices stating she is 2 months past due. I'm no lawyer, but taking money for a service without actually providing the service is fraudulent. My mother continues to call Valor, but they never return the calls. Buyer beware!

Outstandingly. The job was performed in June 2018 and we have since gone through numerous storms, high winds, and a recent 4 inch snowfall. Our new roof is excellent. The 2-person crew arrived 7:30 am and worked until approx. 6:00 pm with a 30 minute lunch break. The weather was clear and hot. Our roof was replaced with high quality American made materials with a lifetime warranty. Valor Roofing uses materials supplied by GAF. The crew utilized a large portable dumpster for trash and spread out tarps to protect the home. Upon completion of the work the crew did an excellent job of clean-up. Yes, I would highly recommend Valor Exteriors.

I have a large two story home with an attached to story garage and I had many tiles pulled from the roof of the house. The immediate need was to get emergency service to tarp up the exposed areas and at the time. Every place I called, I couldn’t even get tarp on the roof for at least 2-3 weeks. This company was able to find me someone immediately who was able to come out and cover the areas to prevent further damage. They were very easy to work with and provided many solutions to the needs of my situation. We received prompt scheduling and roofing replacement, even during the high request time I know they had after the big storm our area had just had. The end product and service really gave me and family a piece of mind that we needed, with no hassle that you would expect from a great company.

Good Points: Valor rep arrived on time for the estimate and was knowledgeable. Roofing guys arrived early on the scheduled day and worked all day. Foreman was communicative and personable. Office staff was communicative and responsive. Roof looks terrific! Points for improvement: They finished up at dark and left many dangerous nails lying around in easily seen, high traffic places. When I contacted them about this, Valor sent out a man days later who again went around collecting nails, but many were still left in easy to see, high traffic places. Weeks later, we still pick up nails every day (attached pic shows some) and I am afraid to let our kids play outside. Lastly, you have to be proactive about getting the warranty info. I had to ask for it, which triggered a survey and document signage request, and after that I had to ask again, which resulted in the warranty being delivered. Although I had to ask for it, their office staff was quick to respond.

My experience with Valor was very good. I decided to choose them because they have high quality products and their pricing was fair. I had done my research and everything seemed to check out. I was able to get my roof and gutters installed the next week, and it went perfectly. The roof and gutters look great and I loved the responsiveness when I was attempting to schedule my installation, and the crews were great. The presentation was informative and not pushy at all like some of the others.. I actually had to kick a couple roofers out of my house. Recommended them to my Aunt and a few neighbors. Perfectly. The workers were on time and worked quickly. They left everything clean. No issues at all. No surprise charges. Just solid, professional workmanship. The roof looks fantastic and we couldn't be happier. They are certified for the full GAF warranty and it is freely transferable (!!!) so that will help when we sell the house.

I met a representative from Renvision/Valor Exteriors at an expo and set up an appointment for a presentation. The representative gave me the normal story; the people that they send out are not sales people, they will just give you a presentation and if you don’t buy it, it’s OK. The presentation for the roof was scheduled for 45 – 60 minutes; however, Mr. Chris Aughenbaugh (Salesman/Manager) stayed at my house for over 3 hours. He simply would not leave until he made the sale. In addition, it was peculiar how Mr. Aughenbaugh was able to come down several thousands of dollars from the initial price quote throughout the course of the conversation. This is not the first time that I priced out a home improvement job. They all do the same thing and consumers tired of it. They throw out a price and when the consumer doesn’t bite, they go outside and pretend to have a conversation with management, and then come back in the house with “a deal” that you have to take advantage of “right away” or you will miss out. If you make the mistake of dealing with RenVision against my recommendation, expect the same old routine and never take the first price they give you. I had the shingles installed by Renvision/Valor Exteriors on February 23, 2017. After the installation, Briana Grierson (Office Manager) sent me a change order for $452 for five (5) additional plywood sheets that they claimed needed to be installed. The installation instructions that they sent me said that they would call me if there were new finding but I never received a call. I have the phone records to prove this. I wrote a formal letter to Renvision/Valor Exteriors to complain. Chris Aughenbaugh responded via phone on February 28, 2017 to address my complaint. He found validity in my complaint, apologized for the miscommunication, and stated that he will void the additional $452 charge. On February 28, 2017, Briana Grierson voided the Change Order and sent me an electronic receipt via email. On March 2, 2017, I received an email from Briana Grierson the Certificate of Completion for me to review and sign. The body of the email read: “Please fill out, sign and date the attached Certificate of Completion in order to receive your completion packet with your warranty information. Your warranty will be void if we do not receive this information. Thank you.” I signed the document and I received the Certificate of Completion in an email from Briana Grierson on March 4, 2017. By March 20, 2017, I did not receive the completion packet or warranty information which, according to the March 2nd email sent by Briana Grierson, was assured by signing the Certificate of Completion. I sent Briana Grierson an email on March 20, 2017 requesting the information. Briana Grierson claimed that she mailed the information and did not know why I did not receive the warranty and completion packet. She attached warranty information to the email; however, it is the manufacturer of the shingles (GAF) warranty, which is downloadable from the manufacturer’s website. The warranty covers product defects and does not include issues caused by workmanship. I waited for the completion packet and warranty information regarding the workmanship of Renvision/Valor Exteriors but I never received it. In addition, information from the completion packet is required to register for the manufacturer warranty. On July 29, 2017, my roof started leaking. I wrote an email to Briana Grierson, told her the problem, and requested a call from Chris Aughenbaugh. Briana Grierson responding in an email stating that my labor warranty was voided because I did not pay the $425 Change Order for the rotted plywood. This information was never communicated to me and the Certificate of Completion stated that the warranty was forthcoming. Renvision/Valor Exteriors did a poor job replacing the shingles on my roof. In less than six (6) months, the roof is leaking and we did not enter the winter season. Renvision/Valor Exteriors failed to notify me regarding new findings during the project, as stated in the pre-installation instructions. Renvision/Valor Exteriors withheld my completion packet so that I cannot register for the manufacturer’s product warranty. Renvision/Valor Exteriors voided my warranty when I notified them of my roof leaking. Renvision/Valor Exteriors did not communicate to me verbally or send me documentation stating that my warranty was void. Renvision/Valor Exteriors did not have a justifiable reason to void my warranty. The Maryland Consumer Fraud Division will mediate this matter from this point. I strongly advise staying away from this company. Whether you agree or disagree that the warranty was legitimately voided; Renvision/Valor Exteriors installed shingles on my roof and it is leaking in less than 6 months. That is enough reason to stay away from this company. This case has been escalated to another agency.

I want to thank Valor for installing my new roof. I was so happy to support a company who gives back to Veterans. I was very impressed with your presentation, and quality of work. I would recommend using Valor again for future projects.
