Unfortunately I have to give a poor rating for the service. The painters painted over nails in the wall instead of removing them like wall plates, damaged our blinds, scratched our LVP flooring, and used our kitchen sink for washing their paint brushes. The overall paint looks good, but too many deficiencies that made the job unacceptable. I’m highly dissatisfied and would not rehire.

well; we had several neighbors in a townhouse community that needed evergreen trees trimmed or cut down, and other bushes trimmed; there were several workers on scene and they did the jobs expeditiously.

Our contractor did an excellent job. Professional, timely, excellent work.

I selected preferred dates at the time of purchase. I didn't hear anything from the company. After leaving several messages, contact was made and an appointment was set. The appointment went smoothly. However I never received the custom design or list of materials. I only received a quote. I contacted the company for the missing items and they never responded.

They are working here right now. So far so good. They have been here one week so far and I am pleased. They are the most responsive, so conscientious, clean up behind themselves everyday. They have made it easy to get to the lower level without bothering us, if they have a question they ask us right away. I am very very pleased.

Fantastic! Prompt and timely they used great materials and their work showed true craftsmanship. We would not hesitate to use them again. Very courteous and pleasant to work with to boot. They were thorough in explaining the work that had to be done and knew right away the best cost-effective solution to the problem.

Jeff was punctual and professional. Although we decided to use a different contractor, we appreciated the time he took in surveying and measuring the basement and preparing his estimate.

Mr. Keissling performed an excellent job. I appreciate the way he provided suggestions to improve the project to make the look better. If you want not only a construction professional but a professional who has an eye to make a project "pop", Mr. Keissling is your man.

Dripped paint on carpet and on stair railings. Crown molding was a mess in some areas with ragged cut. Instead of using 8 to 12 foot lengths, used various sizes resulting in many more seams than needed, including a seam directly over the fireplace.

The contractor provided us with a detailed estimate of cost and time before starting work. He was honest about the work we requested and pointed out issues we had not considered. He did an excellent job and was able to complete the work in less time than estimated. We had a few quirky issues that he dealt with easily. We had a diverse set of requests but he had the expertise to do the work or bring in a person who could. He was respectful of the property and home security. He even fixed some items we had overlooked. He was good about contacting us when he encountered something instead of just proceeding as he saw fit. He worked around our schedules which we appreciated. He was a pleasure to deal with.

My consideration for hiring a guy to build a deck was based on the fact that I did not want to get ripped off. I wanted to deal with an honest hardworking guy with a good work ethic to build a safe and solidly constructed deck for my family. I did find that guy. Jeff Kiessling, the owner and operator of JK Construction, is a punctual, conscientious, competent and professional man who built an absolutely stunning deck on my house. When he first went over the project he noted several areas where we could shore up the existing deck and make it much stronger and safer. He takes the time to discuss the project in detail and allow for customer input. We made several changes as we went along which meant taking lumber back to the yard and getting another delivery. No problem. It is remarkable that with all the frigid icy cold and snowy weather this winter, team JK got the project completed in a very reasonable time. And always with safety in mind. I especially like the fact that Jeff made sure the deck was sturdy. This deck is rather high up so we went with heftier considerations. I was looking for a solid deck for a reasonable price and I received much more than that. I got to see a very respectful hardworking crew put together something beautiful out of raw materials. Before Jeff left on the final day I booked him for another project that will start in a few weeks. I would highly highly recommend JK Construction to anyone who wanted an enjoyable construction experience.

Excellent. Arrived when expected, kept site clean and safe, built exactly as I had envisioned.

I moved into this newly home built in 2012 and did not pay the additional $5000 for the cookie cutter bathroom. The builder mistakenly roughed out the bathroom and went as far to provide lighting and a vent so JK did the rest and they did a great job. I picked out all the tile and paint and they went to pick it up. They give you a budget to work with once you set what your willing to pay. I bought a few items such a mirror, vanity and accent tile which was deducted from finally cost. Everyone who use the bathroom just marvel at the bathroom. I am extremely satisfied with the bathroom and will considering using them to remodel my master bathroom

Mr. Kiessling does excellent work. He arrived on time and with the materials needed to do the job. He showed me the PVC board he was using to replace the wood and also made sure I had the warranty information. He immediately went to work and upon completion, he showed me what he had done. I am very pleased with his work. I will definitely use him again if I have the opportunity.

Was able to get a hold of the company pretty easily. I needed some estimates from licensed contractors and gave JK a call. They were able to get to the property and scope out what was needed. Unfortunately, the contract for purchasing the house fell through and I was unable to use their services. Hope to try them in the future.

Contacted JK Construction (aka Jeff Kiessling) for an estimate to repair our deck that was damaged by a huge tree that fell and took out back portion of the deck. Jeff responded quickly and came to survey the damage. Also, while he was here, we asked for an estimate to enclose the area underneath our sunroom so that we can change it from a three season room to a year-round room. Jeff came back with three estimates/options: 1. cost to repair the deck; 2. cost to replace the deck; and 3. cost to enclose underneath the sunroom. Although it would have been cheaper to go with options 1 and 3, we went with options 2 and 3 and we're extremely pleased that we did. Jeff and his 1-man crew started the work on a Tuesday and finished everything, including removal of debris by Friday morning. Jeff is obviously a master carpenter who does beautiful work. He listens to what you ask for and, if he feels he can do something better, he will share his vision and let you decide which is better. We give him an A-plus and will definitely call upon him for future projects.

Jeff Kiessling arrived promptly when scheduled, and spent a good amount of time looking at the condition of the structure, which had suffered serious insect damage, and taking measurements. His estimate arrived right away, and was very reasonable. However, he had been up-front about previous commitments he had coming up soon that meant he would have to start on the work right away. We were not in a position to make a decision quickly enough to have him do the work.

Update 2/2015 JK Construction recently planned and installed enhanced trimwork (crown moulding and wainscoting) through our house. This was another example of an instance where I thought my husband and I could simply put up crown molding ourselves. But I'm so glad we had Jeff come by for a consultation. He suggested adding wainscoting below the chair rail molding throughout the area and above the molding in our two-story foyer. We realized we would be better off with Jeff doing this work, as he had a vision of the different sizes and angles of the wainscoting. It turned out so nice, we ended up asking JK to do more trimwork in additional rooms and hallways. He suggested moving our stairwell banisters, some of which were on the right hand side and some on the left. I didn't understand his vision until it was done and was so glad he made the changes which created seamless walls and transitions. Just another example where JK came in with a vision and we got gorgeous results trusting in him. --------- Original posting in 2013 JK Construction has performed several jobs in my home and has become our "go-to" company when we want to take on a new project -- big or small. It started a few years ago when I asked my husband to build a nice shelf above our fireplace. My husband enjoys woodworking but was hesitant about taking on the project. He had heard good things about JK Construction and asked them to come out to look at our fireplace and provide an estimate. After listening to what we wanted it to look like, JK explained and showed us his vision, which differed a bit from ours, and included trim around the sides of the fireplace. I had a hard time seeing his vision but JK was confident that it would look nice and the price was reasonable, so we agreed. A couple days later JK had completed the fireplace mantle. It was beautiful and far better than I imagined! It had a gorgeous focus point trim piece and all the trim work was wonderfully beveled, creating dimensions and texture. I was so glad we hired JK and my husband did not nail a board over the fireplace :) That got the ball rolling. After that, we had JK come out to install trim along a new bar we were adding. Again, the price was reasonable and the trim along the bar that he put in looks a lot better than the trim anywhere else in our house -- it was real wood and nicely curved. While JK was at my house, I mentioned that my cooktop exploded and I was disappointed because I would have liked a bigger cooktop in my kitchen. To my amazement, Jeff told me I could get a bigger replacement cooktop than the one I used to have -- I just needed to cut a bigger hole in the kitchen countertop and he could help me do that. So I ordered a new cooktop and let him know when it arrived. Jeff helped me take out the old cooktop, checked the cabinet supports and measurements, and used a variety of saws to cut the perfect size opening without chipping any of the Formica which is the hard part (and apparently requires a variety of hardware!) Jeff even brought an electrician out with him as I needed to replace portions of the draft. They completed the job very quickly - less than an hour - and I'm absolutely thrilled with my rejuvenated kitchen. Finally, my husband and I had been see-sawing for many months about building a patio/deck. We were not sure whether we wanted something that was stone, brick, concrete, or wood. My husband did not want to go with stone or brick because he thought it was too much of a pain to shovel, mow, and tend. We had obtained estimates for concrete but my husband kept saying he thought wood would look a lot nicer. So he called JK Construction for an estimate for a wood patio last month. JK came out and earnestly agreed wood would look terrific. After asking us what we wanted and listening to my husband's ideas, JK stood back and surveyed the area. JK explained and illustrated his vision for the patio/deck. We had a hard time seeing his vision but JK was confident that it would look nice, we trusted him, and the price was reasonable, so we agreed. We were in no hurry yet a couple weeks later the patio/deck was completed. Holy cow, it is fabulous! I never would have thought it would look this fantastic, not in a million years. Because it is so nice, we're adding onto it now and making it even bigger than we originally planned and thought we wanted. I've definitely come to trust JK, his visions, and expertise. Because JK Construction has constantly exceeded my expectations, I had to share my story.

I was very pleased with the work done. They refinished my basement just the way I have always wanted it. I now have a beautiful game room, storage room, and craft room. They added walls and finished them so well, it looks as if they were always there. The work was done within the time frame they said it would be done and I didn't even have cleanup after them. Everything was left clean and ready for our furniture to be placed. Everything was so well done and they were very professional and courteous. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs custom work done to their home. I am also considering using them in the spring for some outdoor work because I want to put a deck on.

I had Jeff come out to my home to measure my main level for Crown molding, we talked about different styles and his timeline of when he could complete the work. After we recieved his estimate, it fit within our budget and we decided to hire him. Jeff told us when he would be starting, the length of time the project would take and the necessary steps he would take in protecting our home during the work. Jeff did exactly what he said and the crown molding turned out beautiful. We have recomended his company to our neighbors who came over and saw his work.

No email, no one ever called or showed up.

The overall experience was great. He was professional, cleaned up after the job and was very friendly. I would definetly hire him again.
