 + 6 moreI had used Tim for small odd jobs and he was good. Then my basement got flooded and the insurance company paid to have the basement redone. During the remodeling he left saw dust on the floor and it rained. When I came home he had the sump pump unplugged and the basement got water. What a mess I was furious.He ripped out all the old paneling and replaced it with dry wall. I had new lighting installed on the cntract it states 6 -3" recessed lights, I got 4. He put in a new powder room and to make up for all the problems I bought the material and he put ceramic tile on the floor in this room.We were waiting for a month for the carpet for the steps and when it came in, it was the wrong carpet. But I let him carpet the stairs anyway. Originally he said it would be done in 2 weeks, which turned into over 3 months. It was a night mare. The house was constantly turned upside down. I just wanted him out!! So I didn't complain.
Description of Work: Tim was under a lot of stress both physically sick( hospitalized) and mentally (divorce). Therefore, I gave him a lot of leave way. He worked in my basement for at least 3 months. Never cleaned up after himself and left trash outside. He would tell me he'll see me tomorrow around 8am and never get here until 10 and then get started and leave for lunch @ 12 and not come back til 2 because he had to run to home depot. Then leave at 3 or 4. His mitered joints were crooked or not met. The carpeting he installed was really bad and he didn't remove the old carpet underneath. The bedroom door was cut wrong and didn't shut or lock. Just found out when my nephew moved in and he started to use the basement that the bathroom has a major problem. Tim used a sump pump and pit instead of an ejector pump and didn't vent it out. So when the mess backed up it smelled horrible. I have a contractor here now ripping out things that weren't done properly.$$$$$$$$
