Winston's Gutter Service

We recently retained Winston's to clean the gutters of our new house and they did a really sketchy job. There was only one guy here doing the work and when we checked the downspout openings near the ground the next day, they still had clumps of leaves and other debris in them. The previous owners of this house used Winston's, so they've had good business from this property. Losing that business is apparently not enough incentive for Winston's to respond to calls and emails inquiring about why the work was not properly performed and requesting estimates for gutter repairs. When sharing our story with friends, they've told us that Winston's used to be great but that it's really gone downhill. We will likely try a different company for our gutter work.

Would use Winston's again for cleaning...but, not for repairs or replacements. This is actually a disappointment to me, as they have been so reliable for so many years...

Excellent used for several years efficient and professional

well. they identified other work needed, and I have received an estimate.

They cleaned them and left the debris in a disposable lawn bag.

I was quoted ( on the phone) the estimated cost of cleaning gutters would be between $200 and $400 in this area where there are larger homes. They do not do estimate prior to doing the job.

On time and fine.

Great! They bagged and discarded all the junk from the gutters.

I have had a long standing relationship with them. They come out 5 times a year to empty the gutters. I am under contract with them.  They are reasonably priced, punctual, and responsive.

Failed to clean out a small downspout that filled up completely with leaves over a period of time, causing water backup and leakage into our house and thousands of dollars of damage.

They did an adequate job of cleaning my gutters but then a few months later they called on my cellphone to ask if i wanted more work done.  I said no and told them not to call me again (I'm on do-no-call lists and don't appreciated being solicited for business).  Now, several months later they called me again on my cellphone to solicit more business.  It's unprofessional, annoying, and possibly illegal for them to contact me by cellplhone, especially when I've directed them not to.  I won't use them again.

They could have better communication and better scheduling.

They were fine. We will recommend them. They don't give you a specific time. They just tell you that they're going to come. You don't need to be there at your home. So, you'll never have an interaction with them after the cleaning, for them to explain the bill and what was done. I don't know if that's something that every gutter cleaning company does. The price was within what we thought we were going to pay. We didn't have the final interaction with them. That would be my only complaint.

Winston's folks got it cleaned.
