Framing artwork is expensive! However, done wonderfully and professionally the way that Chesapeake Framing does it makes all the difference! I look at it as an investment in artworks that I have purchased and created myself throughout the years. They have a great selection of mats and framing materials, and are also great in helping you make decisions on what looks good.

As usual, everything went great! The Chesapeake Framing Company has an extensive selection of art to choose from. The staff was knowledgable, friendly and professional. The products used for the framing were top of the line and the installation went smoothly.

Extremely well! The salesperson was helpful and knowledgeable about the pieces in the gallery. She gave me information about the artist and his background which made the artwork even more interesting. This is probably the best present I have ever given someone. I had such a good experience, I have recommended The Chesapeake Framing Co to friends and family.

They spent considerable time helping us pick out a good mat and frame to match our picture and the final product was great!

It turned out not very well. I learned that the things that I wanted framed were not included. I called them to bring what I wanted framed which were some pictures, but they said that this did not include pictures. It only included the framing of large paintings and something of that sort. I didn't have large paintings to frame and so I lost money essentially. It was confusing between what was written and what they said was their actual policy. I just lost my money on that purchase. They told me the picture framing was going to cost me several hundred dollars. It seemed very high priced for a picture frame. They just seemed to be a good option for taking advantage of what I had purchased. I had spoken to somebody with Angie's List about my concerns and I was told that I had a 30-day policy. It was at that point when I called beyond the 30 days so they said there's nothing they could do. They answered the phone and provided answers to my questions but not in terms of responding to my needs because I needed to get some pictures framed. They explained that the small print didn't allow this rather than trying to meet my needs as a customer and make me happy. They just said sorry, it was not what it was for. A good, professional, responsive company always wants to make sure that the customer is satisfied.

I used Chesapeake Framing because of their reviews on Angie's List and I was not disappointed. I had a framed piece of art that just didn't go well with my newly painted walls. They worked with me to find a new matte and frame that worked with the new wall color. They did an excellent job picking them out and the end result was outstanding. They also were able to do it in a very reasonable timeframe. I would definitely use them again.

Very helpful with selecting mat colors and frames for all pictures to be framed, one of which was being reframed due to a damaged frame during a prior move. Also provided frame prices during selection process. Framing was done very professionally and work was completed in the time frame communicated.

We discussed the placement of the art and what type of glass is appropriate considering the light conditions and type of material. Choosing frames always is fun since there's an art to it. They did such a nice job with the one piece I brought in from my coupon that I brought in 3 other pieces for new frames and re-framing.

Chesapeake Framing is the gold standard of custom framing. As in each of my encounters with this company, the people were very pleasant and knowledgeable. As soon as I walked in, One of their experts came out to work with me. I had her undivided attention for as long as it took to come to a framing plan that the designer and I both liked. We looked at many mats to get the colors just right. Then the designer pulled out some frames for me to look out, then based on that discussion, pulled out a few more, until I was satisfied. The finished pieces took about two weeks. They are stunning! This company has done many pieces for me, from tiny water colors to large prints and originals to two small oriental rugs. The framing is not only artistically pleasing, it is top notch workmanship. The one time there was a problem, they immediately corrected it, quickly and at no charge. Their inventory of mats and frames is huge. They listen to the customer and provide the guidance I, at least, need. They are not inexpensive, but I consider each piece I have gotten there well worth the money. I would not take my framing work anywhere else.

I think the product looks nice, the craftsmanship and the material and they have a nice store. The interaction was good. I went there, we chose the frame and it was professional and it went well. The frame went well, but there was a delay and I had to keep calling and ask them what was going on, so I think punctuality is not their strength. They are very expensive. Once I complained to the manager, they took it seriously.

Excellent workmanship. Provider worked with me to develop a frame with matting that would showcase my degree certificate well. It looks beautiful on my wall!

They did a great job framing all 4 pictures. We ended up using an Angie's list discount instead of the coupons.

The staff at Chesapeake had a great eye and gave great recommendations for framing tailored to each piece they framed.

Although they do good work, there's nothing special and they are ridiculously expensive. Even with the Angie's List deal or whatever I had purchased, the price was still too high. Hang on to your wallet and go to Artistic Framing in Wheaton.

Hands downs best framing company ever. I was looking for something unique and artful. When I took they pieces to Michaels and another local framing company - the staff seemed uninspired and offered no innovative ideas. The staff at Chesapeake take the time to find the exact look you want. They seem excited about finding many different combinations and offered thoughtful advise. I won't go anywhere else.

It was very good. They got the job done in a couple of weeks for each time that we used them. They were very good about following up. They were very good about emailing us and very attentive and put a lot of time in following up to be sure we were satisfied with the results, which we were.

It was fine. They did a good job. I have no comparison with other framing companies. The picture wasn't centered and they fixed it.

They were very informative, giving me choices on how to reframe the picture, and helped me pick out a new frame. They never rushed me. They pointed out that there was mold in several spots on the rice paper, which I hadn't noticed before, said they could try to remove them for an additional fee, and suggested a type of framing to prevent mold spots from happening again It was ready when they said it would be, there was no mold on the picture, and they gave me extra hardware to rehang the picture with.

This is a little difficult for me. They were nice, but, I took a picture to be framed and apparently it was a square picture but there was some part that they did not adjust, so when they put the frame on, there was a big gap between the frame and the actual painting on the left. I talked to them because they were the experts and they should have measured it precisely. They did end up correcting it, and ordered another frame and put it on and I was satisfied with that. The staff is very pleasant, very polite, and they did understand the situation and they actually put on the frame that cost $45 more but they didn't charge me the additional amount.
