Fine. Contract was easy to read, the price appeared comparable and the equipment and storage space were adequate for my needs

I only write Angies List reports for companies I really like, or really dislike. And god do I dislike this place. For the record, the facility is fine. Light bulbs seem to be out frequently, so the hallways are dim, but it's reasonably clean, there are carts to use, and I've stored various items in a storage place for probably 10 years without incident. But every interaction I've had with management has been petty and annoying. I lost my key and had to cut my lock. They said I could use their bolt cutters - for $10. I'd been there for 10 years and paid them thousands of dollars. They need to charge me $10? When my credit card got stolen, they required that I provide updated info in writing, by fax. I did, twice. They said they didn't get the faxes it and assessed a late charge. When I called to complain, the woman whispered into the phone that management didn't allow her to waive the charge, but she would anyway (customer service props to her). When I moved in, I rented their van. I filled the gas tank, but I forgot to get the receipt. They charged me $20. I pointed out that not only could they see the gas tank was full, but I had just signed a year commitment and was paying them $150/month. Did they really need to charge me $20 because I didn't give them a receipt? The guy was arrogant, condescending and unpleasant. And the answer was yes. As I said, the facility is fine, and I've left my stuff there for a long time. In all fairness, they do provide the service that I contracted for. I'm writing this because there are some businesses that you respect and feel good about giving your money to. This isn't one of them.

We had a wonderful experience from the initial call to get an estimate through our move-out date. The staff were friendly and warm and truly cared about helping us - Harvey in particular was wonderful! Any time we had a question or concern, it was answered quickly and thoroughly. The team at the Kensington location went out of their way to help us with move-in and move-out.
